    Very welcome .

Okay ,so let me get this straight before I reply
You were asked to book an appointment but refused as you were asking to be changed office from one working links to another ,so really your appointment would have been postponed not refused ?

Your have 1 sanction and 2 doubt letters about 3 failed appointments ,but you were only asked to make 1 appointment and received no letters telling you about any appointments already booked for you ?

One thing puzzles me . Why did they ask you to book an appointment ? why did they not just make one for you . And why have they issued you 3 doubt letters with 1 being sanctioned on the basis of 1 failed appointment ?

Yes and I do not know why . I told the advisor I was in talks with my JSA advisor on moving office , I did not want to sit in a building with the very same people who not only treated me with ill regard but did not have my best interests at heart when I needed it most . There is a long story behind all of this of my treatment ,my first post is basically just the icing on the cake . I left out the personal attacks by my WL advisor . That's why I did not want to go back to that office . I was only told I was getting a sanction from the adviser after I told her that I was putting a complaint in .

What does it matter how far you would have to travel ? The OP had no finances to travel in the first place and money was tight. To get £20 in the space of a day ,where from ? please tell me how I go about this . Without selling the family tv that is their entertainment . The phone that the OP probably gets contacted on from the Work Program and the kettle that makes them tea throughout the day ,how do we make up £20 ? Id love to know.

Are you an AE the OP has created? I ask because of the bit in bold.

To answer some of your questions....a payday loan can be arranged in minutes. Sell some jewellery, pawn the TV/computer/games consoles etc, etc. So what if it is their (your?) entertainment. Having a job is far more important. Ask a family or friend. Borrow a bike to ride to work. I don't believe, for a moment, that this family has NOTHING to the value of £20. I really don't. I think the OP has made excuse after excuse. And yes, I know all this is in the past, but hopefully the OP can learn from his mistakes so he can support his family.

I did not say I had nothing ,I just said that at that time I did not think of selling our tv . Jewellery I have none of ..... we don't have a bike and the only person I know that has one already uses it for work . I am not making excuses even though it may seem like that , I am only answering questions that tell me things I should have done in the past not what I should do now so are not helping me in the slightest . Yes I made mistakes but don't we all . I was asking how to get by this now not asking what I should have done differently in the past .

What do you mean by this 'Are you an AE the OP has created?' ?

Did you walk or jog that distance ? or did you bus/taxi/cycle/train/fly ?

Your still asking and judging on things that the OP explained happened in the past ,not what is happening now.

Easy, spend available funds on weekly bus ticket, call the crisis loan number, 20 minute interview to establish that OP has no other means of funds for food/electricity for family etc, crisis loan awarded and pick in nearest JCP later on same day.

End of the week leave early to go to WL to pick up weeks traveling expenses, with which he could have renewed his travel card.

I mean really how was the OP planning on getting to work if they'd found a job without the providers help?

Most people have to wait for payday and don't rely on the JCP to fund their clothes and transport until they get paid.

In the past I worked for a number of Training Providers (including one that was associated with Working Links under an earlier name).

Perhaps it would help some of the people here who are incapable of understanding the OP's problem if they knew something of how these places work?

When I worked there, it was common practice to insist on clients coming in every day to claim for travel expenses. Weekly tickets/passes were rarely given out. The main reason for this was cash. There was always enough money to pay the staff wages (many of us were on little more than minimum wage) but rarely enough for client's expenses. Also, the companies liked to have as many clients in each day as possible. It looked good on their books to say they had seen a large number of clients ion centre. And all they care about is keeping numbers up so they get funding.

Expenses were not given out during the whole of the day - there was just one hour when the finance window was open. If you didn't turn up during that hour, you didn't get paid. No negotiating a more accessible time to collect money was possible.

Not everyone has possessions to sell on e-bay. Not everyone wants to borrow money at interest to cover travel expenses. And why should they? This is money they are entitled to.

It is easy to sit back and say 'oh if you want the job you would find the money to get there' but practically this isn't always possible.

Perhaps because they face sanctions should they end up being sacked or because it they refuse employment?

I wouldn't be surprised by what you say about how they operate, however it is deflecting from the core issue of taking responsibility.

How would a job seeker start work if they are reliant on someone else funding their travel expenses until they get paid? Before you say well the JCP should pay because they are entitled to it, they aren't as it is at the discretion of their adviser.

Or are you saying unemployed people should wait till they get referred to the work programme because then they will become "entitled" to free travel.

When I started work at the JCP I walked the 45 min bus ride every day because I couldn't afford the bus fair until I got paid at the end of the month.

Thank you for explaining this bit . I was also told about the window ,hence my time in having to collect my expenses .

How would you afford travel expenses for work if you got offered a job tomorrow, but didn't get paid for a month?

My post did detail how you could have resolved the situation and I did read your other posts which why I avoided commenting on your inability to find/borrow/sell items for your bus fare.
