Thanks for your response Barclaybird. I for one appreciate your help and comments. It is nice to have a bit of advice from the horses mouth so to speak - not saying for a minute you are a horse!:rotfl:

Another question if I may? If I claim back my fees and they close the account, do the overdraft fees still mount up and do the continue to add interest until it is cleared? This might make it difficult to keep on top, whereas id the account fees etc were stopped, I could throw this money at the account to pay it off quicker. At the minute I am being charged £90 per month in paid referral fees:eek: , along with interest etc:mad: . If all these were stopped, I might have a chance of paying them off in 6 months.

    Thanks and best wishes

If the account is "closed" then no fees can be charged as nothing is trying to go out of the account. Assuming you make sure everything is cancelled. You will carry on paying interest, until it gets sold off:eek:

welcome barclay bird to mse and you advice is important, thats what mse is all about, not people getting on there high horses!!!

It is nothing to do with being miserable. People are just making a valid point about giving confidential information about internal procedures on a public board. Barclaybird is probably breaking her terms and conditions of employment by doing this. Also, I am sure Barclays would be less then thrilled with her admittance that she posted while she was at work. It was a bit silly of her doing this as her online movements will be tracked whilst at work.

Hello Barclay Bird my question is about P.P.I my sisters husband was self employed at the time he took out his loan and ppi he has read the terms and conditions but is not specific about being self employed. My question is if the policy is therefore not valid can he cancel it and reclaim his payments

"Ethics is an interesting word on a site like this"

    Why?

And when it was mentioned, I said I wouldn't. And haven't. Can I read during my tea breaks?
