Metaphor and simile are quite different, but are commonly confused simply because they are so very similar in nature. A metaphor is an equation where a simile is an approximation. If Taxi had simply said "like shooting fish in a barrel" I would have taken it as a simile however, as he added the part about bait it became a metaphor. Go back to school and do some research.

So because I have respect for people who clean toilets, that automatically makes me the person who cleans the toilets on your particular train? I have respect for people who sweep roads as well, presumably I fit that job in on the way to the station :)
I also have respect for those who clean toilets but it is a !!!!!! job (excuses the pun).

Where you've fallen down here and, I suspect, elsewhere in life is that you believe you are much cleverer than you actually are. I have never claimed to be cleverer than you because I really don't care if I am or not.
You are right, thanks so much for your expert advice, you have helped me to see myself in my true light. lolol. You do give me lols.

But to you trivial things like that really do matter. Your life isn't about helping others or being nice to people. It's always about getting one over on the other bloke and picking fights with people to whom you're totally insignificant. And then you have to boast about it and act surprised when people forma a negative opinion of you.
lol if I am so insignificant why do you continue to post. haha. lolol. You have proved therefore that I am not insignificant to you, I am touched truely.

At least you've abandoned the idea of having original thoughts and are just quoting from "grammar" pages now. Yes, I Googled it too :)

To be honest I was just playing but you're right. I do have better things to do so won't be back.
    Can I help?
