I can't show images as a newbie, but I'm making my own flower bouquets.
I'm highly allergic to life in general and I just think that a bout of hayfever would ruin my wedding day for me, so I chose some flowers made out of birch bark shavings from Etsy. Add in a packet of floristry wire for £3 and some gold spray paint for £2.50 and you have my whole set of flowers (one bouquet for me, two slightly smaller for bridesmaids) for under £35.
I haven't actually put the bouquets together yet, but I love them.
They sound really nice. I look forward to seeing a photo of them. I still need to figure out what im doing for my bridesmaids bouquet.0 -
Mrs D I've pinched your invites as they are fabulous! (i'm not even having invites.....) anyway, how did you attach the ribbon? Is it glued at the back?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

I've had a go at making my place cards. I can't decide which I prefer and OH thinks both are fine. When it comes to actually making them I am going to borrow the guillotinefrom work as I apparently can not cut straight lines with scissors

I also had a go at making a wedding cake last weekend, I made a 9" cake and a fruit loaf. We're going to keep the 9" and feed it for 6 months then have a taste test (my family, friends and my work colleagues shall be my testers). The fruit loaf I have handed out now for people to try. The cake is at my nana's at the moment but once it comes home I shall post a picture.0 -
They're great! I prefer the one on the right personally; looks a bit more balanced, IYSWIM.
Very few people can cut absolutely straight with scissors, and that includes art students...
The cakes sound yummy - you're so organised! I'm getting married in September this year, and have only just started thinking about the cake. Nowhere near doing place cards yet!
