it was the nPower Tracker tariff which prompted
British Gas to lower prices.

The tracker is actually more expensive than npower’s online tariff, so people are already paying £109 more if they get involved in this tracker than the
online. And there is an even cheaper online tariff, which is with
Scottish Power, which is £117 cheaper. So you’re paying a premium

Couldn't agree more and I'd love to get a list of names of elderly people who have died due to hypothermia this winter and plaster it to British Gas HQ in enormous letters.0 -

That's ok - I'll happily send the list to all of them.0 -
I thought that was the point of the winter fuel allowance of up to £300, and BG gives an additional rebate of £90. £390 will pay for all the gas used over the winter in most households.0

Hi I'm new here and I normally just browse. My current leccy supplier is Powergen and has been since, well, forever. I've been looking into switching but kept off doing so because I just wasn't sure what to do and quite frankly it scares me somewhat.
What perked my interest was the following commentkathrynt wrote:did they say there would be more discounts if you get income support
I'm in receipt of Income Support for health problems and would like more information, if possible, on whether I can actually get any discounts from Powergen.
I know it's off topic and for that I apologise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you0 -

Can only be a matter of time of when they bring their down too.
I hope so too, BG are actually cheaper for elec at the moment, albeit 2%0
