Hey Brizzled, he thinks it went ok but he's still applying for other jobs so we'll just wait and see. The last one he thought he had in the bag and they rejected him
Not good for his confidence.
Hope you have a fab weekend xDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Fingers crossed Kerri!
So..back from a cold day at the stables. Girls still loving it but will have a few weeks off now.
So..we have decided to go to 4 days PW but split our days off ( OH is also often 4 days PW) and this will make a serious difference to our finances. Well put simply, it'll increase my salary by a 1/3... So this amount ( minus the addtional tax I am paying in respect of previous years:mad:) will all be thrown at the debt shifting and then after thats done :T being put into an OP. Seems like getting my DFD in March may be easier than I had thought!:D
But with this potentially comes more childcare costs and fuel/ commute costs so I have decided to work 1 day at home as an absolute rule..and also, from the summer holidays use grandparents more and our childcarer less, hopefully meaning we can reduce the amount of time we need a childminder for, to about 10 hours per week. That would make quite a difference to our childcare costs and as the DDs get older its feasible.
Still need to work out some of the details but that's the plan. I think it will work plus of course having more to throw at debts is making me feel much less sick about the whole situation!:oMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Good news on being paid for hours you already work brizzle.
:J You'll have that debt repaid in next to no time. Mr F and I have finally managed to align our work times (for the most part), so that should hopefully save about $100 per month in fuel.

Thanks Mrs F..yes it's good to make a change that makes a real difference to the finances isn't it...I love the satisfaction of EBay etc but in my case it's a small amount compared to what I can do by actually being paid for hours I pretty much work anyway. I will also get pro rata benefits etc eg. Pension so that's also worth having.
One thing I didn't mention is that I have expressed an interest in the Bristol Switch & Save which is a community effort to get a better cheaper energy deal that anyone in the Bristol/Bath area can use. It may not get me a better deal but interesting to see them try. Has anyone else a similar scheme and what were the results?
Still thinking about lodgers if anyone has any ideas..may post on Miss T's diary as I know she is still looking..MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Great news re the being paid for the work you do. No experience of switch or lodgers so can't offer any advice there.

Thanks granny..should have done it years ago:o
Hoping for a LSD today..except have just paid for some accommodation in London Town for April. QuidCo and cheap hotels are not coming up with much and it's for a dear friends dinner party ( they are being very lovely and paying for a posh slap up meal).. So I have dusted off the YHA membership and am staying that way. Family Room. Will be fine. Haven't done it for years but will be a good way to be in London cheaply for the weekend. 4 of us (could have been up to 6) for £122. Will also use my Family Railcard and get free babysitting as am taking the babysitter ( OH is away for work)...
Feel quite pleased with that..MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
