I'd been wondering where she's gone too, Pinot. And Fluffies too. Not like Fluffies and Brizzle to take a week off. They'd better not be out spending...........:DLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Hello lovely peeps!!!!
Thanks for missing me! Aaawwww you're lovely! Yes have been away for lots of work..all good just lots of it!! and then a lovely weekend away with the neighbours.. £10 pp for 3 nights in a chalet in Devon. Best £50 odd ever spent on a holiday!!! magic. Lots of beach time and only spent £12 on bits and groceries, icecreams etc so quite MSE too:D
So..onto MSE matters...I will try and catch up soon with you all...
It's not bad although my expenses getting out of hand didn't help me gain a true picture of our spends...so need to transfer some money around now I have been paid for them. We are generally being a lot more prudent. Fridge is bare. Blo@dy first..and do you know what I haven't gone into meltdown yet....maybe I have changed!!
:rotfl:
Dinner this eve will be omelettes ( using up some eggs even though we still have 2 broodies ) potatoes from the allotment ( rescued as we were digging over to grow something else) broccoli from box, salad from allotment...so not bad. The spreaddies have lapsed, although OH is still tracking all spends on the iPhone. Absolute diiisasssssster daarhling ( as Mr Revel Hall would say;)) on the NSDs...but quite a few LSDs.
Students won't be coming..OH is abroad for literally the whole of July so I can't see me coping..especially when at this rate I will be boarding out my kids so I can go to work... ( I am only half joking!) and I am still wary about the van so no big money spinners as yet.
On a good note have just made 10l of laundry gloop as I had run out of washing powder and thought why don't I make some. Used a recipe on here so will keep you posted fellow diarists!
Think that's it. Catch up soon

Hi again
Another positive was that the taxman ( lady!) has replied and she has said that the calculation is right..boo..but expected. BUT..she has said can pay in instalments in the next tax year ( nice surprise!!) and no SA for me for this year. Whoop!:D The fact that the letter crossed with a demand from another part of the HMRC hasn't worried me..left hand and right hand and all that!!!!:rotfl:
Laundry gloop seems fine. Maybe more essential oil next time but good so far..maybe I need never buy commercially produced washing liquid again!!!!:T

I'm so glad you're back! It's not the same without you.
The mse holiday sounds great, shows us that you don't really need to throw huge amounts of money at a holiday to have a good time.
Are you going to post the recipe up for laundry gloop?

Hello lovely Piq
Can do...but basically its boil 1.5l of water and add a grated bar of soap like sunlight or fairy. Add 0.5 cup of borax and 0.5 cup of washing soda and stir very well. Then pour into huge bucket and add further 8.5l of handhot water from tap. Cool. Add in an essential oil of your choice...use! I have nabbed loads of plastic bottles from my neighbours recycling box...milk 4l containers probably best!
Sorry if any typos..am currently trying to multi task whilst watching DDs at swimming lessons!!
Best of luck Piq with applications xxMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I don't think I'd try making washing liquid. Sounds too much hassle.
Easier to buy a packet of non bio Persil.
Glad you're back. I was missing my daily email with all your posts.
I hope the omelettes were good last night. If you're ever short of food try Pinot's trick and serve mouldy bread.
Hope the weather is being as good to you as it is to us in the East of Scotland.

Hey Mrs B,
Where you gone again ? Ive been AWOL, then I finally come back on line and you have disappeared again too ! I had a feeling you were going away for Jubilee weekend but maybe I made that up, or maybe you did go away, had a wonderful time and decided never to return !
Anyway I hope you are ok. Glad the laundry gloop is working well, I may just give it a try one of these days, just for the fun of it !
