Brizzled, I found that Mr Pooh went over the limit on his CC by accident and we have a £12 fine and lost the special deal too. One of my jobs for this week is to move debts around to make the most of the special deals.

Discipline is exactly what we need ATM.

Yes you are so right pooh...discipline is the key and I have set up a DD now as well as trying to do some OPs. Work tho has been ridiculously busy..hence the absence.

OH is going away for a month tomorrow so ironically may be able to get some routines in place for household as well as finances. As he and I have been flat out at work we have been barely surviving. Logistics have been a real headache. For example, we both completely forgot yesterday that no-one was slated to collect DD2 from school. Luckily another mum who knew I was in the NE ( yes it was quite an adventure on Thursday...trains like boats! Friday coming back also delays but nowhere near as bad) texted and said should she collect her. Think god she reminded us! And came to the rescue.

I also have a huge expenses claim overdue for submission. I know I should but something always gets in the way. Its that lack of discipline again pooh! It's completely skewing the household budget and we are using the OD again all the time...

Anyway, must dash now but will try and get back with all the diaries as well later this week

Hugs to all that need them

I am good thanks...still adjusting to OH being away. He is also sad and stressed but they had a better eve of work last night apparently. The promised wifi in their accommodation is also not working so has to go somewhere else to skype us..the imessaging we had hoped for has not happened yet!

I am beginning to slowly take control. Girls are being made to sift through mountains of stuff and hand stuff on, sell etc which is always tricky. They have memories about all of it and see passing it on as horrendous..personally I blame Toy Story 3 if any of you know that storyline! But its got to be done otherwise the new au-pair will have no where to sleep! It also needs decorating. so baby steps..clear room and take possession of the lovely wardrobe that a kind neighbour is loaning us for a year. Next week I will think about painting.

Have just checked bank and will do the small things thread today. I have also taken the momentous decision to transfer money from our OP pot and pay off BC CC..(I will be b8ggered if I will give them any interest at all) and also pay off the OD :-( which has crept back into our lives like the bad smell of drains where you just can't seem to get to the bottom (!) of the problem... lord we are carp

I will also mealplan for the next few weeks. We have mountains of food in the larder and I need to stop buying!

I will also do some expenses so can hand in at the office tomorrow.. and read up on some of your happenings lovely peeps

So thats it. Small goals for today!

hey B! Glad to read you! I have been clearing down the larder too. Kepp your chin up re: OH. I often have to work away for weeks at a time, and it gets me down too, but knowing someone is home keping the fires burning is an amazing comfort.

Thanks NL..nice to know people are looking out for us. Its funny people think its dead glamorous working away and in fact its a PITA.. especially as we both have to do it...even if I am only working in the UK. But...its a job..so not really complaining...

Girls are just exhausted from school, parties, dance, homework projects...and also DD1 was at a weekend scout camp and I reckon got maybe 5 hours sleep over the whole weekend...so all in first gear today!

    Right..had better get on!

Its horrible when they have no wi fi isnt it ? When Mr Pinot was away jsut recently it was whilst we had no broadband, so that was that for four weeks pretty much other than the odd sneaking phone call, but I will bill that to the company he was working for !! ;)

Sounds like a good idea to me re the B'Card.

Yes I do know the Story Line to Toy Story 3 and have exactly the same problem. I have been trying to clear the playroom for the past years, but everything holds far too many memories to say goodbye to it !

Yes TS 3 has so much to answer for!

A good full working day today. Babysitter slept over last night so I could disappear to work at5:30am but it all worked well. Will probably do same next week so can at least keep on working sensibly whilst OH is away. Also roping in ILs and parents...it's a complex logistical situation!!!

Looking forward to a quiet few days.hope to finish decluttering and maybe think about decorating. May also look for a single bed and desk. Found bargain bedding on amazon so very pleased about that..also all at no delivery cost.

Hd Use Ups this eve. Very tasty too! Need to think about what I cook tomorrow. Haven't done planner yet but maybe pasta carbonara? Girls would love it and it's easy. Can add in peas etc for some veg and we have the obligatory salad as its growing madly in the allotment!

Checked banking and have made a loan to a dear struggling friend. It seems the right thing to do so I have. Can't bear to see her stressed and if it makes her feel better that's what needs to be done. She has set up the SO to pay me back in instalments so that's cool too.

I'm glad you're back brizzle, even if things are still frantically busy for you.

I'm doing a larder clear out too and I'm on a personal challenge not to throw out anything, it has to be used up somehow. I had to throw out one cherry tomato that had hidden at the bottom of the bowl and gone mouldy and I was scandalised to think I was throwing away food. I felt a bit better by putting it on the compost :o

It's good to be back Piq. Missed you all.

Maybe you should keep chickens? They eat all the scraps ( apart from chicken and egg of course!) in our house? They are fun too. Would give Bear something to watch ( but not touch:rotfl:)

Shattered today....really exhausted. Need to get a shimmy on.... But CBA..:(

What are you up to, fellow slug killer??
