Thank you everyone for your good wishes..much appreciated. Yes we had an absolutely awesome time. Such a special time. Hanging out together for 4 weeks was great and the wedding was amazing. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Really every day was a highlight and that’s a wonderful thing to be able to say. But if anyone is heading out that way I would definitely visit the Great Barrier Reef, Waiheke, Cape Palliser, the Tongariro Crossing and Kaikoura. The Banks peninsula is also so so beautiful...

(Just writing that in the depths of the British winter has given me a slight pang!! The kids wanted to emigrate...distraught at having to come home :rotfl:)

So now, back to reality but with some good changes (honest!) So far have been sleeping loads, probably due to some jet lag, but it’s making a difference, exercising and not spending money. How good is that??

I am not doing paid work today so will do some planning and try to start catching up. The meal planning is going well, both OH and myself are not drinking very much (in my case Day 9 of not drinking) spends have been groceries only (and just top up shops) and whilst it’s early days I have done a couple of 4 mile runs without trashing my hip :) and I have done a financial plan (can’t beat a nice spreaddie can you??! ;)) as we have some big bills to pay back from the trip and some more plans for great holidays which will take some saving for. We have even put some stuff on the Bay which should sell. If only DD2 didn’t lose stuff we’d be up by now...:(. OH also did a big declutter the day after we got back :j So.....the brain is whirring again. Paid work looks fine, but do need to find some more for the new FY. Need to get cracking on some bus dev and give that some attention. I also need to pay the tax bills, OH still needs to do his return (!) (last minute.com there!) but money for it is safely in the savings account. Phew.

Having a lower mortgage payment every month helps, but it’s too easy now not to make OPs, so that needs to start. I also need to get YNAB up to date (it can never cope with currency differentials and I can’t be bothered to totally reconcile the CC statement with each transaction so will reconcile each account and then start again) and start properly budgeting again. But have to say really Really positive about life...it’s so good to be refreshed and confident. Feel very blessed and well, long may it continue please!

    Have a great weekend folks

Lots of love and hugs and optimism for your New Years

    Brizzle xx

Thanks PWPS..hope alls good with you.

Yes getting back on the ‘horse’ generally seems the right thing to do. Definitely helps that everyone at work is on an exercise binge. But MSE...yes I know what seems to work, just need to do it!
