Holiday sounds fab. Well done for getting back into everything so quickly"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks everyone.. hope you’re Ok.
And... RL storms back in.. the post holiday dreamworld didn’t last long!! On a financial front need to plan very closely for the upcoming year and do need to prioritise getting more work from a more diverse base. On a good front we are meal planning well eating well and I am exercising maybe 5 times a week - mixture of yoga and running. Hit the road at 9pm last night which was bonkers but hadn’t happened earlier because of thousands of concalls so it was 5k last night or nothing and I chose 5k
Have a great day all

Thanks folks....well haven't done anything since Tuesday but planning an 8 mile run tomorrow and then yoga on Sunday. I am definitely back in RL :rotfl:. Cold but sunny and lighter today...did make a difference to my mood. Since 11.01.18 have only had alcohol on 4 days...has to be some kind of record!!
Kids Half Term soon..can't quite believe it. Work is a slog, and will need to do some this weekend if I am to have any chance of some time off that week. Seems decadent to be off work again, but supremely conscious that we will not always have this opportunity to be the 4 of us..so grabbing it whilst we can. And...the hours I will be doing this week will more than make up for it. OH up for another role - interview on Friday. Fingers crossed as he needs a new opportunity...gets crabby otherwise
Have done some YNAB...and.. confession time here..consequently put the excess holiday spends on a 0% deal. Thought long and hard since we've been back and thought that on balance I don't want to pay interest so it worth the handling fee and I will pay it off in the summer. The mortgage OP is taking a back seat but that has been inevitable. I am also picking up the business development work and had a very useful meeting today..so again fingers crossed that something comes from that. Friday is my day for doing that. Need to do the same next week and some follow up.
Bay of E hasn't come through very well. Maybe do a CS run this week instead so at least the declutter totals will improve. Wont do the savings calculation this month as not a fair comparison as didnt break down the holiday spends into categories...but will be trying hard for February.
Have a great weekend all and thanks as always for popping by
