Ha ha! We are definitely on a popular DofE route and often see the groups slogging up the hill with over packed rucksacks. Feel for them when the weather is wet or too hot!
My 2 DDs did their bronze and silver on "the door step" but the group knew the landscape round here like the back of their hands, so when it came to Gold they had to be shipped out to unfamiliar territory - one to Lakes and other to Arran..........didnt cost that much though:eek: I think you are probably paying for 'supply cover' if its teachers doing supervision - certainly that was an element of the costs we paid when ours did school trips - skiing /climbing etc .Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

All good thanks. We have got away in the van so chilling at the moment in the mountains DD1 and DD2 working away on revision but beauty of it is without Wi-fi they are probably less distracted than usual.
