Thanks beanie. I was the same debs, but have to do it. Also sent a load of stuff to the CS but for better quality items it's best to sell.. somehow. What about the local FB page instead? I also found doing an annual target helped. As you can tell
I love targets
and it helps motivate me. It's spending money for our Xmas trip away
A NSDAll monies accounted for. We are officially down to pennies... roll on Friday for the big money shuffle

I like targets too - not sure I'll make my 2017 items decluttered in 2017, but I'm almost 75% of the way there so far - I suspect the rate of items leaving here will slow down now, though.
I've nicely exceeded my (low) net sales target for the year - but only because we sold our huge family tent and trailer, which I hadn't thought of when I set such a low target. I'm trying to keep a steady trickle on ebay after losing motivation for it earlier in the year - but it sometimes seems such a lot of effort for little net result nowadays. However, I have to remind myself that if I'm selling a batch of things and a couple of items only sell for a couple of £ that it's no more hassle to pack them up and post them off with everything else - and that's more £ (however few!) in and more carp out!
That's gotta be a good thing, right...?

I think I need to set a target of how many things I will list a week - I find Im not getting the sales £ value that I used to and that just demotivates me - however as Greent said its as much about getting stuff out the house - my mental health and just general mood is so much brighter when the house is in good shapeCC debt Aug 2018 £50.2K

I love de-cluttering too. Each time I get rid of something I don't use I feel better. I believe that when you create space in your life, then there is room for something new and good to come along. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

A much better day. Am hoping tax bill is manageable this year - sending paperwork over to accountant later this week I hope which will be a big relief. DD1 is helping me with the paperwork at a princely sum of £5 ph! visited her for the first time at her work (a small shop) at the weekend. Wonderful to see her there - I did buy a few items, but all needed.
Small TT today. Getting there. By end of this year plan is for:
- all CCs paid off
- S&S ISA to stand at £12k
- money in personal and corporate account for tax bills
- all Xmas holiday costs paid for and money set aside for spending
- have a sensible EF and some funds for nice holidays in 2018
If this happens that's quite a result. In other news, hope to complete on a new mortgage (1.88% fix for 5 years) which will reduce our monthly payments by a load. Must over pay though if are to get to the end of it by 2022 and also that OH has booked swanky hotel for me and him over Christmas in Dubai for zilch. Wonderful airline points have done the jobNot sure Dubai is really my cup of tea but it is a transit on the way down under.. which is what counts
Dinner is in the SC. Shattered this week. Getting up at 5 to make diner wasnt very clever. May need to switch back to batch cooking. Much less tiring if done over weekend!

Plans sound good Brizzle
We all need something to aim for to keep us on the straight and narrow.

Thanks SA. I do hope I can pull it off, just using the online calculator has made me hopeful I am in better shape than last time.
I too am amazed re the hotel. This is not like OH at all, but so pleased he did. Feels an amazing treat and all for no cost.
Busy evening doing chores. Now finally found time to start watching Victoria. It's started on 27 August!! Thank the lord for catch up?
