And just did a small PAD towards the CC with the largest total..just to make myself feel better. Sitting in my kitchen eating Bombay Mix - Sun Addict...no beer or wine...but doesn't feel very clean :rotfl: I clearly shouldn't even be thinking about 5:2 ;) Well done on all the decluttering

Just been paid for some work from the Half Term...picked up my mood slightly

Bless you ;) :rotfl: It is a brilliant mix..one of the very many glorious benefits of living in our diverse city. The Asian supermarkets are sublime and so very very MSE

Will have a cup of tea and then to sleep. Another early start tomorrow.

    Have a good week, DIA

So..another LSD yesterday with just £1.70 spent on bus fares by DDs. Whoop :) I almost crumbled in M&S on the way home from a late work meeting, but resisted....Will update the sig. Also a AFD. Hopefully I can keep this up as finding that tiredness and alcohol do not mix for me. Hormones too, so need to sleep more and look after myself in the upcoming weeks.

No movement yet on the Bay items. If they don't shift I really know I am not going to have much more to sell. We have very little left now over the years which is saleable. It'll be CS or the bin as I will try and keep up the decluttering.

Hope everyone has a good week

I always read "people will buy anything on fleabay", only to be disappointed time and again that stuff hasn't sold. Fees are really high too. I've tried FB groups, but then you don't get the same market, so it's slightly swings and roundabouts.
    0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,005

I changed the way I used Eb*y after going through a bit of a lull. I have sold some really odd things but now I tend to sell things that can be easily posted or are sufficiently unusual to be worth packing well and putting though the post. I dont sell outside the UK - too much hassle and I stopped listing stuff for 99p. Most I list staring at £10 with free postage. Or I list with all the postage and fees loaded into the start price. Sometimes I check sold items in the category I am selling and see what sort of prices are being achieved and base the start price on that. I dont spend hours researching and have got a feel for it now and I dont spend hours uploading and writing long description only if it needs it. Uploading is very quick using a tablet. Started this method last few months of 2016 and had 100% sales:j I relist things 3 times and only on the third do I change the start price - drop and add p&p and they often sell for more and the first time they were listed!

I agree FB selling pages are a different market and I have sold on there too - hamster cage, dolls pram, chest or drawers. Seems to work with everyday household items.

Brizzle I look forward to the day we have 'sold' everything!

Thanks Ig..really helpful advice. I will keep plugging away and maybe take some better photos.

A slightly more spendy day today as took kids to Nando's  (minimal spend though and had water not fizzy drinks etc) as they came out of a very late event. It was 10pm and we needed a second dinner...so there it was..and v nice it was too. 15 mins later we were heading home to bed! Really appreciated although DD2 reminded me again that it had to be a rare treat as we needed to save money and not waste it. Too right I said...

Other than that and £4.49 on fruit and veg, nothing spent.

It was surprisingly delicious and with water and some veggie sides felt vaguely nutritious too..well, there were chips of course, but the other stuff ;)

Today there were bus fares and that's it so another LSD bagged. Not an AFD tho as a dear friend bought me a drink at the end of a testing day. Will update signature.

Although I escaped the effects of Storm Doris, apart from almost being blown off a station platform...commiserations to those who didn't...

    Hello

Today so far I have checked our/scoped out some work and so far only spent £10 on DD2 and her school dinners. Do need to run out for bananas, bread and some squash tho. Everything else is sorted. Storecupboard or freezer over the weekend I think.

Planning an AFD as going to an exercise class (already paid for with an introductory offer for the first month of classes) this evening (very unusual but go me :rotfl:) Savings rate looking less healthy than I'd like but for the second month running we will spend less than we earn..always a bonus when you are posting on a diary on a MSE forum :rotfl: Its currently running at 35% but we are only on the 23rd with several large DDs going out towards end of month. Wish I could isolate my total spend amounts on YNAB in a weekly/fortnightly basis as I think its been lower for last fortnight, but YNAB Classic seems to only have the monthly (or longer) option for trend reporting.
