Weather was glorious sunshine here today although cold. So weird how such a small country can have such diverse weather by region.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Thanks lovely people for stopping by..much appreciated :T

The day started well and cold but even a hint of sunshine...very grey now though. Helped DD2 with her PT job..nice to get out and have a walk. Then to our favourite bakery for yesterday's bread (still lucious and less than half price :)) then a big grocery shop using lots of MOVs and my C*-op loyalty card (have £30 already towards the Xmas shop) and to the butchers for meat...he has started giving me and OH the bulk buy/catering price on the meat we buy as we go there increasingly often and he knows we are feeding some hearty appetites.. I have meal planned for next week so feeling good about that.

One of the students is now not coming at Christmas...but thats OK. I think I have to accept that there is a certain amount of fluidity around that income stream, and accept the way the cookie crumbles. We are also away for some of the Xmas hols so our usual hosting income will fall, but thats also got to be the way it goes.

Today will be spendy as taking someone out for a b'day meal. Tomorrow, eating out, but we are taking the food. We may go to see a movie tomorrow...will see how we feel.

Have shuffled the money and am feeling vaguely content...the extra work, meal planning and getting the CV etc sorted has boosted my mood. I will also try and go for a run later this evening and also watch some absolutely carp TV.

    Hope everyone is well

    xx

Thanks everyone. And you're right MfD..it is that.

Not so content today (unfortunately)..been very busy and not too well in RL. OH is away as well which never helps. I have also been spending and that seems to keep me away from the threads..guilt?!

TBH I am having a bit of a panic re THEM. Not sure how much I owe (still), I have chased for a calculation as know that will reassure me, or not.

So...where are the Brizzle household re MSE matters....we need an update to get everything into the open

The sig needs updating and whilst we are decluttering, its rarely selling, CS more like, or just given away. Not sure how to stop that one.

I am also in touching distance of some more work (so thats 2 lots) which once I feel better, and assuming it comes in, then I will be extremely happy.

We have also set budgets for the kids and ourselves for Xmas. I tried to get a friend to do no presents for each other/our respective kids but she wouldn't go along with it..weird, but guess some some people are in different parts along their journey.. we bought a lot of lovely wine and we will probably use a lot of that for presents this year. As its already been bought seems like a plan and dead money.

Meal planning going well, but sometimes too many left overs..when you host it seems unfair to offer them up, but I am getting over that attitude a little as the weeks go on!

On the less good front, there is THEM and we are spending more than we should...again. We have eaten out 4 times this month which is a lot and back to where we used to be. Need to cut that down next month. We are always paying off the CCs in full though, which is a huge relief.

I think I will use some of today to get some sleep (bad night), re-work YNAb for next month and tidy up after a busy weekend and get some perspective on it all. Also check up on the diaries.

Have a good day everyone xx

Is it possible to turn the same core ingredient leftovers into something else? Think about whether you are offering too much food. Or freeze leftovers and bring out again in the following week? Just suggestions.
Hope you get some rest tonight.
