Darling GP!! You wouldn't be in THAT category for sure!! You serve the most delicious food and a Buddha bowl or the odd sandwich whilst out is not what was meant in the study!!
:rotfl: Glad youre using your NT membership...we tend to forget about it over the winter and that's a mistake.
Chicken was great tho, and plenty left for the pie. I will also put the LO veg in it
Then watched back to back comedies with kids...fun evening

Just lost my post...darn. Lots going on in RL. The additional work came through, not loads, but some which is great. OH and I had a budget meeting last night, our first one, which was a step in the right direction, palming what we need to do to stay on track. He's doing DIY right now, so trying to save us a bit of cash. Updated sig, but NSD and LSD days still seem elusive.
Feel like Xmas is happening in a parallel universe! Anyone else feel the same? Energy wise feeling very below par, so that doesn't help. Can't seem to shake off feeling bleurgh.
Best get a shimmy on. Have to get a present for someone arriving today and it won't buy itself. Hoping for a quietish weekend with plenty of sleepMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Yes I do feel,Christmas is happening in a parallel universe. Unable to participate this year, gutted. All the build up, cheeky coffee and cake in coffee shops, wandering round the Christmas market, looking at people's Christmas lights - all gone this year thanks to broken ankle. Not happy
Anyway that's enough for my moaning, hope you get your shimmy on soon xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Oh babes..so sorry to hear that. I am chirpier now after a hair cut and colour, watching a family movie with a chippy tea and finally sitting putting decorations up with a woodburner on and carols.. mulled wine?
It's not been a great build up for you..but maybe you should take OH's wheelchair out? Mind you it was raining stair roads here today, so suggest you leave it until it's drier.
Sending hugs

I've felt the parallel universe thing with regards to Xmas too - I think it's gradually creeping in now, though - and am hoping it really arrives later this week - am sure it will for me when the children break up on Fri
Less than 100 payments to go is great
We shall be doing a full on Sunday roast here today - although I've deliberately got the smallest chicken out of the freezer as I don't want many leftovers this week - but will still use all pickings in a pasta dish and a risotto (along with the stock, of course!)

Glad to read things are picking up
Woodburner, carols and mulled wine sound divine. I'm going to the panto next Sunday come hell or high water so should feel more Christmassy after that.

Hello folks
Getting better here. Feeling more confident, even if annoying things still happening like OH losing the only back door key....... I am still awaiting news as to how he will rectify that one at minimal cost!!
In good news, think we are there on Xmas presents. No cards sent this year which is poor, but I may do some to the older folk next week. We are really keeping costs down. No additional spends which is great. And in the best news of all, the tax assessments came through and they were less than I thought they would be...so that's been FANTASTIC!! I was so so relieved. I still had to borrow at 0% to pay a part bill, but have a repayment plan organised in YNAB. I have also paid on account for some of next year which will help smooth the cost.
The additional work I have been doing has been both interesting and well received. It's always good to do something else, even though it's been tricky fitting it in, (usually late evenings), so I am very tired, but it's been the only way to get it done and it's only for a few more days. Well paid work too so very pleased.
Several more AFDs..another 3 this week and 2 LSDs....so will update sig.
Kids now off school so a more chilled household. We are all getting up and at it at 9:30 though...as we have a list of jobs to do as long as my arm!! But it'll be nice to do it with my girlies
Thanks for popping by - hope everyone is doing well

Great news on the lower than expected tax assessments - always good when bills are lower than expected
When Mr SA was working he was a sub-contractor and paid emergency tax then claimed it back as a lump sum, used to come in very handy for holidays.
