Thanks Brizzle diary definitely helping just need to get better at posting regularly. I'm struggling with meal planning as OH works shifts and suddenly changes them without telling me so I never know if he will be eating with us. Nothing worse than him eating my spare portion I had been saving for my lunch the next day!
    Debt: £14,000 now £2169

Hi SSG! Just had a banana and then some milk in my coffee as the black coffee wasn't cutting it!

Will let you know how I get on!

Hi JVR..uncertainty makes it hard to plan I know. Maybe try stuff like lasagna and freeze leftovers so that if he needs a portion its only a question of chucking in the microwave?

    Hi all

A frantic busy day doing company formalities. so head down glued to the laptop but hopefully all square and upstanding now..finally. When will I learn? I never do these things as I go along..and then I have to spend hours and days catching up..

Anyway...on the MSE front, we have redeemed some PC survey points and reduced the starting price on some Bay of E items to see if they will shift. I have also done a TT.

Heating has been on a lot...and I havent done much exercise (funny that!) and I didn't do very well on 5:2. Had a big sugar low at about 4:30pm and ended up scoffing grapes.. :( before eating a small dinner of pasta and meat in a tomato sauce at 7. Just CBA to cook something different for me...doing one meal is enough every night.

OH in a foul mood...not helped by me earlier I do admit. He's worried and when he's worried and anxious I seem to cop the lot. :( Anyway, lets hope we have a nice weekend!

    Hope everyone is doing OK

    Thanks guys..lovely weekend so far..

    MSE wise,

    - done TTs and put £2coin x2 into the coin jar
    - used a 10% off voucher for ski gear for kids. Got what I could from D&cathlon which is dirt cheap online but needed proper fitting etc for other stuff
    - bought myself a lovely winter coat for skiing and for Being out and bout. First one in 5 years, so don't feel too guilty. But does mean my new clothes file is bust. Think it will be a Xmas present.
    - the accounts are all with the accountant. Think I will get a huge bill for THEM, but we shall see. Should know next week. Relief to have it off my desk tho and onto theirs!
    - had wonderful eve out with friends and OH last night, wonderful time and very much subbed by the host, which made it fun and v v MSE
    - Spanish chicken casserole in the oven. Smells good. Have meal planned for next week largely using eggs (we have a glut:)) and stuff from the freezer.

Think that's it. Hope everyone has had a good weekend despite the biting chill

Glad you enjoyed your weekend brizzle.

I finished reading The Recovering Spender which I enjoyed. I do like reading about other people's debt journeys - her's was especially interesting - although her experience in the supermarket when she hadn't added up her coupons correctly was an eye opener! I would have just paid up rather than abandon the shopping and go home. I bet the cashier swore like anything!:D

    Hi SSG

Yes I thought that, but how desperate she must have been to stick to her guns..and then to go back. Seems like it was a turning point, which I think is also a key message. Get your LBM in the supermarket!!

2 good days. Exercise and TTs have figured in both. I have done a PC survey and used TCB for a train ticket. Meal planning has worked well, although kids are having emergency pizza tomorrow as OH and myself are both out.

I have made plans for another hosting in Jan, we'll see if they want to take us up on it. Just a short one as we have plenty going on with the current student, plus our own two kids! I am going away for a long weekend with some dear friends, but already paid for, thank goodness. Our spends need to be less, so we are planning to spend much less on Xmas this year. Stockings will be the main thing, rather than additional.

Going to try and drag out some more items for EBay. I'd like to hit that target this month. LSDs proving tricky, but as long as OH keeps his spends below £10 this eve, we can count today as a LSD.

    Hope everyone is well

    Xx

Every time I read your updates it reminds me I have 2 handbags to eBay. Must put on my to do list. Also have some broken/no longer worn gold jewellery to sell via Hatton Garden or similar. Need to get cracking.
