Just put mixture in a plastic pudding basin with lid on, then place in a couple of inches of water in base of the SC pan and then switch on for say 2 hours. Worked like a dream.
We do have an all in one slow cooker, i.e. cooks rice etc on a different setting, but reckon it'd have worked as well with our old single function oneMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I am fluctuating a bit about it, but on balance OH seems to be moving towards seeing if he can go.

Hi Brizzle
Sorry to hear news re OH. There's certainly a few of us who've gone through the big R - whether voluntary or forced.
Excellent plan to have family meeting and I imagine it was a constructive session.
Enjoy Paris - sounds FAB.
Good luck and the old saying is true "necessity is the mother of invention".
Things have a brilliant way of working out for the best.

Hi folks
Thanks for popping by. Hope everyone is good and well.
We had a great time. Eurostar was fab and so much more relaxing than car or plane. The Air BnB apartment was in a fab location and worked well, we ate in sometimes and out at others, usually on the fixed price menus. It didn't rain. We had a lovely time walking around Paris and doing very touristy things. To be repeated next year? Maybe...
Back to the grindstone..meal planning to do for next week. Early payment of lodger rent which is nice as most big payments go out of our account on 1st. Left overs were all used up which is great. Need to set up a budget for next month. YNAB being updated, although always tricky when dealing with foreign currency.. As we are almost into November it also means another brick being scratched off the chart towards MFdom! Yay! But sales low so targets won't be hit, and as ever the NSDs are tricky.
Have also done some PC surveys.
Have a good day everyone
