Hope you managed to get through the storm OK wherever you are. We're on a farm down your neck and it was mighty blowy last night!
Heading off to Brunels Buttery on Wednesday. Hoping it isn't raining.MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Just lost a post...doncha just hate it when that happens
A good day today. Blustery as I drove into work though MM.
So not a bean occurring on the Bay of E so all packed up and ready to go to the local CS. At least it helps towards the decluttering goal if not the sales target. And have just had my second NSD..pretty feeble compared to Ms Alice...but it's something.
Can't remember if I said before but my bank did a review and apparently in 2008  they made an error. So the refund plus interest came to a grand £9.17.. Cheque going into the account tomorrow. Into the mortgage OP pot it goes!!V unexpected.
Hope everyone is having a good evening

Hello
Having a lovely time away. Good times with family and friends..:)
In MSE news...TTs done, updated sig, conscious of impending tax year deadline so transferred money from DD's bond and around £150 of her savings (from babysitting, pocket money etc) into her JISA..v proud of her actually, deciding to seriously save. It'll stand her in good stead as we all know. Also today was a NSD!! Yippee!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Sounding good Brizzle
Glad to see your DD is a chip off the old block.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Thanks guys. All good here - considering we are on hols, very low spends. Went to the pub yesterday but back home for tea. Have been renting movies for grown ups to watch in eve, very relaxing and super frugal.
Going on a boat trip today, but booked on Internet so 10% discount. Have also just signed up to a rewards site Bounts to encourage me to do more exercise. Have done 2 7k runs this week..first time in about 12 mths... So need to keep that up. Took kids too and they liked it. So hopefully the Bounts will help..thanks to the tip from :money: this week..
YNAB all up to date and a small TT completed.
Hope everyone is good and has a great day

Hey Brizzle,
Sounds like you have had/are having a lovely relaxing break.:), very envious.
Love it that DD has a great saving habit, my DD seems to have got it too since she started working her holiday job, Just need a bit of it to rub off on DS now - he's the money burns a hole sort:rotfl:
What's TCB (in an earlier post relating to Phs8 clothes shopping)?
xx

Hi NOA - lovely to hear from you.
Yes it's great, pleased by her attitude. No.2 child not quite as likely to be sensible tho!! But we shall see, she's still young. Sounds like yours, hey?
TCB - TopCashback.. Great site, wish I still had a job with lots of overnight stays, expenses etc., would be well in the money but there are drawbacks to a nomadic lifestyle! I use it if buying presents online or for train tickets.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Will take a look at it - might be useful for DD as she travels at least a couple of times a month on train to see friends etc. I tend to order online just at Christmas so probably don't do enough.
