Just done my catch up of your diary, as usual I have missed lots !
Glad you enjoyed your weekend away, it sounds lovely and a well deserved treat. Isn't it strange that I can remember it like it was yesterday that you "fessed" up to OH about everything (I cant remember what I actually did in RL yesterday though:rotfl:) Look how far you have come since then ? )
The girls sound fab as usual, how is DD1 managing with the looming exams ?
I am now doing Dry February, although it doesn't have the same ring to it does it? Im not missing it much though, think I was in a viscous cycle of stress finally collapsed in a heap, PG to destress.....and repeat !:o Hope you enjoy your yummy glass of red this evening though .
Hope the rest of the week goes well for you Mrs B, look after yourself xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Oh and meant to say, watch out on the using the CC for points plan.
You are far more sensible than us and obviously have OH's regular income which will help you repay on time each month .....but back in the day, we used our NW Credit card to gain points and to help with cash flow. Got ourselves into dire straights , as without a regular income to clear it , it became a viscious cycle and we ended up in a situation that as soon as we were paid, we used that to clear the CC bill and then ran it back up again. There was nothing left in the current account to live on, as we had cleared it out to pay the CC bill. Long story short, the time came when we never did get that invoice paid, nothign appeared in the bank account , in turn we couldn't pay the bill , and the rest as they say is history, now affectionately known as the PG National Debt !
Not implying that you would end up in such a pickle as us of course !
Oh and the damn points we were trying to accumulate, paid for some car hire and one flight for me to visit Mr PG who had been out of the country for about five months. Really wasn't worth the stress if Im honest.
Right , my inane ramblings are now over and Im off to top up my water ! :rotfl:xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Wise words PG..wise words.
Luckily as most of our expense at the moment is direct debits and essentials, not much room to spend on the hotel points CC, let alone any CC. So that helps, but will be wary. Hopefully OH will be able to use for work purposes that should get us a night a year at least!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi all
Quiet day today, just a TT and then have just completed a PC survey so that'll be another £3 in the bag. Small spends today, all essentials. Bought food for a meal with friends tomorrow..Mustard marinaded chicken cooked in the SC ..so nice and easy and frugal.
OH going to do some EBaying tomorrow.. :T
Relaxing now. Almost the weekendMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi beanie...
It's just a marinade of honey, mustard (English & Dijon) of chicken pieces, probably thighs are best/cheapest? I also added some mint sauce, lemon juice and tomato puree to the marinade mix, well..for no reason precisely, but just cos it was there! Leave marinating as long as you can, maybe couple of hours? Then season the chicken pieces, fry off, fry some onion and diced parsnip in the juices/marinade that is left in the pan, add fresh thyme and then chuck in SC with some stock.
Smells lushWe will eat with baked potatoes that my friend is providing. Recipe suggests eating with steamed leeks but as don't have them it'll be kale I suspect or salad (or both!) . Looking forward to a lovely evening with good company and where we don't spend another bean

Very glad it's Friday!!
Bank accounts and YNAB reconciled. No spends so far but suspect OH has to spend a little on parking to drop off DD1 so the elusive second NSD still a little way awayMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
