I'm also looking forward to Broadchurch as it was good identifying the local bits in the first series and it should be the same again.0

Well a good day on balance..
I need to sleep so will keep it brief
- mother lode is coming into fruition..few more meetings and maybe start in a fortnight. VERY excited.
- YNAB going well. OH reconciles it to the bank accounts every day.
- small spend on groceries, but used a 10% off Voucher
- AF order looking good, such a great idea.
- HM smoked ham (from weekend) and split pea soup made in the SC...BLOOMING delicious. Awesome. Everyone loved it. HM bread and HM Nutella mug puddings (sponge puddings made in the MW) made a great meal.
- some FL hours but mainly thinking around other things
- DD1 and OH spent 3 hours in A&E. 2 broken fingers but she's stoical and I think she rather enjoyed the attention and she did Maths homework to pass the time!!!More hospital visits tomorrow. God bless the NHS and yes, the roller blades are banned for the next month!!

Oh no !! Sending lots of love DD's direction. Funny how she sat there doing her Maths homework :rotfl:, she sounds just like our DD2. When DD1 was in A&E she insisted we took photos continuously to record the moment forever and she certainly didn't give her schoolwork a second thought ! Hope tomorrow goes well and you aren't kept waiting forever.
After all this time I am still struggling with your abbreviations :rotfl:I'm not too bad if I read your posts during the day but in the evening when I am tired I struggle! All I can think of is Her Majesty's Nutella Mug Puddings and Her Majesty's Bread and Her Majesty's Smoked Ham:rotfl:Please put me out of my misery ! xx

I can't let her take the credit...that was OH deciding to crank up a tablet he took with him. She would so laugh to think doing Maths would be HER idea! He never misses an opportunity for quality time with the homework! Actually, to be fair, he has helped her hugely last year. Her end of year exam grade was the best in her class (think she is middle/ second set) and I am sure it's because he has been so patient, running through things time and again to make sure they are thoroughly understood. Also, as we get closer to GCSEs she is beginning to realise that good grades in Maths & English will be very helpful!
So today. Brownies in oven...taking as a gift to friends together with some HM (:p Mrs PG!) apple juice. No cash to buy anything so it's homemade all the way. Load of washing on. DD2 off to school. OH and DD1 walking to hospital, but after that, hopefully OH will be sensible and get a bus to school with her...but who knows? Then OH is at a different hospital donating platelets. I have a nail appointmentmy treat of the month..then back to do some work this afternoon. Busy busy family.
On the money front, finally sold a vintage toy. Money came in today. Previously listed on Bay of E for c.£200 a couple of times, (after looking at other listings), but noticed that none really went for that price. In the end, and knowing that we really need the cash this month, we pitched it much, much, lower and it went for £50. But it's gone now and if someone else makes a profit, fair do's , it's now their gamble.
Off to get cracking. Have a good day folksMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi brizzled
I saw on another thread that you have lots of green tomatoes.
What I do is store them on a tray with a few red tomatoes and after about a week they are all red.
Failing that putting them in a box with a ripe banana will also turn them red.
If you have too many green tomatoes on one plant it can take longer to ripen as the plant has to work harder to ripen them. Best strip the plants down and use one of the methods above.
At the moment I am roasting my glut of tomatoes with some garlic, pepper and oil (no onion as DH intolerant) when the oven is on anyway and then blending it up and storing in jars (heated in the oven) and then keeping them in the cupboard to be used over winter (or in our case we love it so much we are using it up almost immediately!!)0
