That was one big downpour wasn't it. I was outside at the time with 5kids up at S/bridge having just had lunch. They had to miss the play area!

I believe the weather is going to settle down next week - just as the kids go back to school...

    So, the update :)

    Tasks for today...
    - rescue washing and hang up inside
    - make tuna fishcakes for tea from left over mash
    - [STRIKE]check decluttered DVDs against 3 sites ( discovered from these threads) to try and get best price for them[/STRIKE]

£30 offered via ziffit..not used it before, but much better prices than MM..so as long as OH is OK with what I am selling, they are being sent off and my front room is looking much clearer! Have to say my goal of £250 from sales in September is looking challenging (and really I need about 3 times that to make up for lost cash in August:eek:)

Also, rather than throw it away, (it used to sit on a book shelf), I even put one sculpture in the garden :rotfl::T I am sure it will crack one day in the frost but for now its out of the way of the kittens we are due to get next week and I haven't lost it from sight entirely..:)

    - [STRIKE]put meal planner in diary[/STRIKE]
    - work on my Autumn Plan :rotfl: for medium goals..yep folks I love a list...
    - [STRIKE]put more bread in the BM[/STRIKE]

Off to see what else I can sell and prepare fishcakes for tea

  • YNAB issue - think I know what's happened, but just to confirm is this the situation (figures made up, obviously)?

    Budget screen
    Category Pre-YNAB debt
    Debt 1 £500
    Debt 2 £250

    Accounts
    Current account £750
    Card 1 £500
    Card 2 £250

So in the budget screen, you have £750 available to allocate. Allocate £500 to Debt 1 and £250 to Debt 2. Then, for the dates you made the payments, do a transfer from the current account to card 1 and card 2, but leave the category blank. (I think that may be where you've gone wrong?) The cards should now have balances of £0 and there should be no minus figure against them on the budget.

Thanks Caz... We were doing that, but somehow it seemed to send the current ac awry. Think we are all OK now but I seem to still have a surplus I don't recognise! It may be because I started off with a negative figure in the current account?

How's things with you? Still chirpy?

Lots of domestic things to do today, will be back later with a list:) Sold book on Amaxon tho so £3 up whilst I slept :)

  • Hmm, bit weird. Try the YNAB forum, they're excellent at sorting me out when I stuff things up :D

Yup, still chirpy here and very happy it's Friday! Off to do my scores on the doors :)

Thanks Caz...I think its that I started mid month and also I failed to cite the OD (it wasnt large but even so) as a Pre YNAB debt...OH thinks thats what it was anyway. Have to say its amazing to see him take it so seriously..he says he rather enjoyed reconciling against the holiday CC yesterday :rotfl: and I have set up the future bill payment online to pay it off in full. Result :)

    Today:

    - HM lentil soup for lunch (flavoured with belly pork meat/bones left over from Monday's dinner) with HM bread
    - listed items on EBay and spent ages relisting some of OH's CDs...thought he had got shot of them all via MM..but seems not. Hundreds to do. He needs to help! But at the moment is making a kitten scratching post/play house (up-cycling a piece of unwanted furniture, have to say it looks very professional) and of course hugely cheaper than buying anything. Last week, I relented and let the DDs buy 2 cat toys..£8! Outrageous. I told them we will make anymore we need!

Having to do all this listing is a pain but may help us get to our £250 sales goal for September. So far we are at around 22% of the way there

Rack of lamb for a special dinner. Will be yummy. Am going to roast a squash too, and have pulled out some pots and some peas and sweetcorn from the freezer. Rather a hotchpotch, but am refusing to buy any groceries!

Then, out with friends for a few drinks. Will be great to catch up with them and hear how their summer has gone. Much cheaper than having dinner out too :D

Hope everything's good. How are those scores Caz? Just popping over to find out :)

  • Having OH on board really helps - mine hasn't really got there yet, he's much improved, but YNAB is still a very, very long way off for him, I think!

    Scores were pretty good :D
  • How exciting that your getting kittens, please put a photo up when they arrive, also the poundshop is good for cat/dog toys.
