Fab idea JoeDenise. I'm fine thank you Brizzled despite being stuck in an office in such lovely weather.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Wasn't the weather amazing today? I was in Yorkshire and it was GLORIOUS!!! Not that I saw much of it, as in a building mostly but as a principle it was fab.
So...YNAB is OK. Only change I would make now is to have an amber stating before you go into that glowering red! Money&hiz has that in the form of a colour line/bar and it was really helpful. Saved you also remembering what the original budget figure was.
Another day, another dollar. Being FL is going well. August will be scarce though as on holidays for most of it! But as long as my clients pay their invoices all will be well.
Did some TTs. OH has put in for some long overdue expenses/FL income. Awaiting student and van hire income. Food bills dipping in anticipation of going on holidays plus the Al&i trip. Think that's it. Company mileage should nicely offset the car costs so all good with the Brizzle Household
Planning to load the Cax5on card tomorrow with our holiday spending money.

I've downloaded a trial of YNAB and done the 1st webinar! Still trying to set up my budget on it but I'm getting there.
I'll see how it goes over the trail period and then decide whether to buy it or not. At the moment I don't think it's any better than using a spreadsheet along with Microsoft Money but who knows once I get my head round it properly I might have a change of mind!

Well done joedenise..
Today has been a good day, but shattered from not quite shaking off a headache all day..think it's the heat and probably didn't hydrate enough yesterday.
So far have done some TTs, charged all mobile devices to max. capacity on the train, come home to a tidy and clean house (amazing what happens when no kids to muck it up!) and realised had a 'small' but very useful dividend payment of £75 into the current account...thanks very much!
That'll do nicely...:)
What else...gonna relax with my OH now. Work over for the weekMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi folks
Not a bad day..list of admin achieved, especially YNAB done and up to date and any wrinkles ironed out...
- made 2 Herman Friendship cakes...one I made with bananas as had to use some brown ones up, but doh, I forgot the eggs  so yummy but very bready, the other one I made with a pear and 2 apples and it looks lush if I say so meself ....:) I have already made a new starter in preparation for more baking next week...I think these will be excellent cakes to take on holiday. Reminds me that I should make some ciabatta too..
- pre- loaded FX cash card with the contents of the holiday account...and have the trusty H&lifax Clari.ty card ready..see that :money: still recommends it as a best buy. Only issue will be making sure it all gets paid off when we get back...we have opened up a YNAB account for it...so it can all be logged.
- tortilla with bits from the fridge for tea. Fresh grated carrot with lemon, fresh coriander and apple juice as dressingwas lush as well as some very tasty cucumber from our garden
So I have had a NSD..problem is that OH hasn't as he bought me some bike parts and we needed an additional insurance policy...so hardly frivolous items!!
- wrote holiday lists for the kids to follow and yippee, found time to pack my clothes for the holiday...feels great and makes me feel more prepared...have to do some ironing thoughOn the good side, I decluttered a black bin bag full of clothes..will go to CS tomorrow...
- didn't rain this eve (despite predictions) so sweltering...but I refuse to complain!
On the decadent front, my mumsie swimsuit is being pensioned off...story of my life, arrived at pool about 3 years ago with no cossie and kids desperate to swim so I rapidly bought the only one they had in the shop. Regretted it ever since so tomorrow I am treating myself to a new one..Be prepared...the new MSE me knows that now...I wouldn't make that purchase now!:rotfl: I would just watch from the side, or pop home!!
Laters folks..xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
