Hello brizzled! I love the nice aromatherapy back massage you get with a facial. Unfortunately it's been a long long time since I last had a facial. You're setting me off! The therapist always finds knots in my back and they always know I carry bags on my right shoulder!

    Have a great weekend!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I agree re the sports massage. I don't open have them but when I was using the personal trainer at the gym, sometimes he would use the roller to massage out my calf muscles and/or my back. I used to feel like I was walking on air instead of having just done a 60 minute workout.! :D

I love the way we are all talking about our love of massage...I do think we underrate the power of healing hands!

    Good things included:

    - OH made a great stir fry with tofu when I got home from work
    - Kids did chores every day (pretty much!) this week..really helps
    - did the TTs and hope after all the DDs go out we are on track for March
    - really felt lighter this morning driving into work
    - NSD for me...but OH bought some coriander for the stir fry. £1 for a huge bag so a bargain really but does blemish the NSD...so a LSD instead for the Brizzle household :)

Busy day and pooped now. Hope everyone is OK and looking forward to a hopefully relaxing (and if not relaxing then fun or both ;)) weekend...

    Hello all

A good few days..on a more even keel at work which helps hugely..so what else.. Some not so good news as well, but remaining positive ;)

    1. Had a heart attack for a few minutes when it looked like £1500 had gone astray..a bank transfer which I thought was going to pay off the skiing CC wasn't showing on the statement. Silly me had sent it to the wrong number, an old card. Luckily they had already done the reconciliation and immediately refunded me the interest too. Thanks goodness. What a muppet.

    2. Spends today on groceries. DD1 did an online shop and used a £10 off voucher. She has been great but with some unexpected ideas such as leibfraumilch when I said I wanted white wine :rotfl: ...didn't she know I much prefer PG??!;) but I stepped in;) Seriously though she has got me trying the Sainsbugs wine for under £5 so if it's bearable I will keep you posted!

    3. We also spent some cash on DIY stuff and one impulse buy :( For dinner we had a great HM meatball curry with HM naan as well as rice. Simply gorgeous, quite proud of myself. That bag of coriander came in handy :)

    4. Sitting in the front room and the Brizzle family is going to watch some TV and the woodburner is on..magic :) I am on my second glass of PG (raising a glass to my friends in the box, naturally ;))

On the down side, OH has started decorating and in our bid not to spend any money on repairs we have stored up a problem with our windows. One is rotten :( so had to call a friendly repair guy who is coming out next week but it won't be cheap. He is a complete craftsman though so it will last. Completely our fault, we knew we should repaint every few years and we haven't ..simple as that.

So no sooner do I think we are making headway..we are back heading sideways.. :( but at least we have got straighter on the cards. Feel like the lovely HOK3Y when she says the universe has a way of cutting you down to size when you get complacent  But by Monday eve we should be on just over £2k :T :T but am not updating the sig until I get the text confirmation :D

Sounds fab - i don't often look forward to monday but will now :T

Hope the wines good - i very rarely pay more than £5 a bottle of wine - i've found that there are generally some good offers on different makes where prices are eg £4.99 instead of: - £9.99/£8.99 etc. i just tend to plum for these ones - only had a not very good one once in quite a number of years now :)

All sounds good Brizzle, and don't worry too much about the window, at least you're getting it done now and it will last. You are still very very close to being debt free :)
Good luck with the wine, I think right now I would give ANY wine a go its been that long!! :D

So a good day in Brizzle Towers.despite the heavy rain this afternoon :(. taking a breather whilst tea cooks to post and see how many diaries I can speed read! ;)

    1. OH ploughing ahead with decorating but have tried to be fairly frugal. Lots of stuff from the loft being used up :D have ordered new curtains though... The ones which had been up for 15 years certainly looked tatty and a new curtain track. Free Delivery and should be here by end of week.

    2. Trout, couscous and lots of root veg for tea. Have to say smells wonderful. More Claudia and Ottolenghi recipes as the Brizzle household love affair with all things Middle Eastern continues.... All from stores, mostly local food too (except the couscous obv) which usually means it tastes lush :D

    3. Managed to fix the slow draining sinks and toilets....UGGH. Touch and go but 2 bags of soda crystals and 1 packet of caustic soda and lots of hot water (not all at the same time!) did the trick. Finally. Took hours. I was so desperate not to call a plumber.

    4. 2 eggs from the chooks :)

    5. DDs have done their homework :) Bit of struggle..SATS don't half make DD2 stress :( (hate that) but all set for a relaxing evening....if OH ever stops with the pollyfilla :rotfl:

    Hey,

This looks really good. First time popping in so have only skim read first and last page - sorry.... Don't beat yourself up if you don't make the end of March as DF. You are SOOOOOO close.

Keep up the hard work and all the posts. All are really useful and I am finally finding that I am getting used to the abbreviations.

    Take care
