  • I'd like a lodger like that please :D am willing to give up a child so they can have their bed! Can't remember the last time I didn't do the dinner in my house (so much so I can hear the violins playing for me right now :p )

We used our te$co vouchers this year for tonnes of great treats :) never really done it that much before but we got lots of free cinema tickets and pizza express vouchers :)

Hi SA  how was your weekend? I haven't popped in for a bit :o so will rectify that real soon. Hope Mr SA is doing well

DFW321.. She is a real find! :D lucked out there! I know what you mean. Just feel like on a hamster wheel and then suddenly someone does dinner, or the laundry and it's such a great feeling. Like someone has hit the pause button for a few precious moments!

Not sure you should get a lodger when OH is away! Might be worth checking in with him first!! But yes it's great. Long may she stay :)

Also forgot to say that OH made a scrummy tomato soup today..a modification of a NL express recipe.

Tin of baked beans whizzed into a jar of passata, some pesto, stock and lots of coriander. Some of that little pasta a bit like the type that GP has been wrestling with..it was great and dead cheap.

Better get off the diaries now. School tomorrow and an early start :(

I've taken to buying fruit juice when it comes on "real offers" none of this 3 for £4 rubbish, and whacking it in the freezer as OH loves to have it all the time and I find it ridiculously expensive. Didn't even realise until the other day that you could freeze it as it doesn't say so on the bottle, but gave it a go anyway :)

That tomato soup sounds yummy, I might have to give that a go as all the recipes I've found contain cream and I'm not really supposed to have that x

I am a huge fan of fruit juice...real stuff when I can too..not this made from concentrate stuff. Smoothies when I can as well! :o

Do try the tomato soup. We'll be making it again ( that's the royal 'we' btw :rotfl:)

Feeling a little blue today..but a good MSE mate is coming over for coffee today so that'll cheer me up! :) plus £45 already on the ebay bids and I only listed them this weekend so mustn't grumble :j

Quick breeze in. Not much to report, just some TTs but keeping that wallet firmly shut :D £1 donation to charity and that's it. OH did go out for work team meal tho. But not spending on groceries is def helping!

BTW bean and pumpkin stew from SC is totally LUSH! I haven't missed the meat at all...will be getting OH to do that again

  • Glad to hear you appear to be feeling "less blue" that a few days ago Mrs B.

Hope the coffee and chat were enjoyable with your friend.

Bean and pumpkin stew sounds yummy. Is there a recipe lurking somewhere I can find, or was it a made up one ?
