Hi brizzle popping into to say hi - you have done so so well do you mind me asking how much you have managed to pay off this year- although I try to stay positive sometimes the sheer size of what we owe overwhelms me a bit -but knowing other folks out there have managed to do it really helps

Hi kerri..will ask OH but I think maplins came into it somehow!

Scotdebs..thanks for popping in. thats a good question. I am not sure I know exactly but in April our debt was £26k :eek: . At our (when OH 'discovered' our debt) LBM in very early June I think it was £16k. I will check...I only now keep spreadsheets so to my shame I don't know. But we have thrown everything at it..savings, raided a mortgage OP pot. ebay. Taking on more work. lodger. Low key. (But lovely ) holiday in Wales so only a few miles away.. Renting out camper van. Cutting back on everything...and posting here every day....I have to otherwise I can't get through it all. It's a FT job trying to get DF!! :rotfl:

    - bad news is that DD1 has spent over £50 over her contract on internet usage..streaming at home thinking she was on wifi..AAGGH. but at least as OH said the EBay sales make up for it but 1 step forward and 2 back. Good job OH spent some of the weekend extending our wifi - before we knew this - but at least it shoulddnt happen again. I was a bit narked that T@lkmobile said that they couldn't bar her usage - they can put in a guidance level but not an absolute bar. Was surprised but dont have the energy to argue (for once

Re DD1. She doesn't use the internet away from home altho she does have a 500MB Pm limit within the monthly contract (which in total includes minutes etc costs £8.50 so have been happy to pay). It's that she has been streaming blooming Youtub@ at home.. She hasn't been using the unlimited wireless we have ...probably as it weakens before it gets to her room....GGRRR..

She knows now how to check that it's on wifi and has been an angel all day. So some respite.

Oh Brizzle I know how you feel!!

DS ran up a bill in September for £137 (only £127 more than his usual bill:eek::mad:) His was texting and ringing his new girlfriend :rotfl:

But he was caught out last year with this wi-fi thing and they charged him 50p per day for searching and then when he actually used it it charged him - think that bill was £90:eek::mad:

He is much better now though and is trying to text less :rotfl:(how is 3000 texts not enough???)

OMG EE..that's a HUGE amount!! I feel slightly better now :rotfl:... well a teeny bit!!

Beanie..that's a gorgeous thing to say. Thank you. You are so very lovely :) Have to say with all this talk on here about heated driers I did take a look at @ldi and L@keland, spoke to OH but then decided that at £80 it's just too much so the commercial laundry continues.. :rotfl:... Just bring your stuff round!! ;) TBH though when the heating is on it should dry quicker.

Nothing to TT :( Roll on tomorrow :)

Today will be a spend day. Will spend £40 and some fuel taking DN and DDs to a local attraction. They are v excited though. Will take snacks and drinks and see if we can have a late lunch back here :). Seems a bit rainy here though :( but maybe it will brighten up later.

    Have a good day all.
