Saw the rugby this eve. Great night- £30 for 4 of us
and the trip today was also lovely despite the bad taste in my mouth left by the evangelising of the owners....locals will be able to tell where we went! It was good but the presentation of quasi creationist theory as a credible alternative to majority scientific view was hard to take!
Mixed views about this month money wise. Have underlined areas where we overspent and will discuss with OH. But overall we are doing well ( and I need to remember that) just wish it would go down faster and OD wasn't always an ever present dangerMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi folks
So... the scores on the doors for October. As we really enter winter the Brizzle household have made fab progress..and one card is now £1499 - under £1500 - YEAH!! :j and the grand total is in the 6's!! I am thrilled:D:D
But I can really see which spend categories could result in much more progress, faster. I am going to speak to my OH more about this but I am going to suggest that he takes control of meal planning and the shopping and we see if we can spend no more than £250 in November. As we have stores I actually think its really achievable but it will be interesting, if nothing else, to see how creative we can be. And given what we spent this month on food and groceries when I thought I was beng frugal  any improvement will be a godsend and can be thrown at the debt. OH will also stick to the loads of fruit and veg and organic principle so it will also show us what can be done even when sticking to a good diet and our principles.
The other goal will be to stick to an agreed budget for Xmas - food and presents.
Just back from a marathon drive to drop off DDs (£9.60 in tolls:eek: but must remember no childcare costs for the first holiday ever:D) and have put on soup (£1.64 for lentils and beans mix) and a loaf in the BM. Making fish cakes, roasted beetroot and salad this eve from bits and bobs in fridge but the soup will be a starter and a great lunch tomorrow..and for about 3 weeks afterwards..there will be loads:rotfl:
Hope everyone is OK. Have put heating on. Too miserable to get up before 6am without some warmth in the room

Come and live up near me, there are some amazing houses for not much money!
For example, these are all within 20 miles of me and are less than a 2 bed flat in Clifton:

Caz my lovely when I saw your great photo of the Northern Lights I was tempted..very tempted. Problem is work..I would find it tricky to get work up there and OH whilst in principle very flexible has an office job too
They are great properties although none too keen on the water wheel..too many childhood imaginative stories leaving me scarred! :rotfl: But as a Plan B..you never know. I could be DF and MF..and with plenty of money to buy a pony or 2 for the DDs!!!
Just had a Board Meeting (adopting Greying's approach and terminology)..well Part 1 anyway.. and OH is taking on the groceries and meal planning for November:T he is also going to look at other areas where he thinks we are not spending our funds on what we should be spending it on..(important part of the Money or Your Life approach that Joe Dominguez and Vicky Robin talk about in that seminal book that I love (and effectively now realise I ignored for 10 years:o)) He is also very intrigued by the idea of being MF in 6 after we attain 'DFdom'... so just planting that seed!;):rotfl: I am not sure we will but wouldnt it to be good to set a goal and work to it.
On more MSE news..sold 8 items this eve on the Bay of E which if everyone pays (I have another zero history bidder so have asked for payment in 48 hrs max...I am unfortunately now distrustful after a newbie failed to pay last month and I ended up getting quite a bit less for it second time round) will net over £80
We are also looking at the DF date. I think NYE will be too hard so we are thinking of setting a new date...will keep you posted!
OH has gone out and I am going to relax. Bliss.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi brizzle - my guess is that the attraction was rather near me (at the top of the hill) and costs a fortune to get in....
I took out membership to there a few years ago because it is only 5 miles from here but the kids were only interested in the play barns. Luckily they've outgrown it now.0
