You lovely peeps. Thanks so much.

I am now officially £8,169.07 so smashing the £9k barrier:beer::beer::T Should be below £8k by end of the month. It's great to see it in black and white like that! :D

I have used our lodger's deposit in this, which is obviously returnable but as we hope she will stay for around 3-6 months it should be enough to see us through into 2014. She is delightful..am very optimistic about how it work out. We have also had OT, expenses & mileage reimbursement and been ebaying like mad (one non payer has driven me to the swear box though..it's such an unacceptable way to behave..she had no history..is it possible to bar people like that from even being able to bid?) and trying to really watch what we spend. Thoughtful spending as I call it.

So still think, what with Xmas, that NYE will be a stretch but keen to see how we go. Having a glimmer of optimism and thank you guys for all your support. Couldn't do it without you all :grouphug:

Hurray that's amazing! :D You can put restrictions on who can bid, I think there's an option that they must have 5 positive feedback or something like that, if you look in your settings you should find it :)

  • Hi Brizzle, that's fantastic progress and I love the 'thoughtful spending' comment. I'm going with the 'I'm not opening my purse again this week' approach at the moment :rotfl:

Glad the lodger is working out well.

    Best wishes Tilly x
