  • Morning Brizzle, good luck with your lodger decision. Don't forget to have house rule discussions before hand :)

Yep, thanks all. List of reminders written out. We have shared for last 6 years but au pairs..so not exactly the same as others paying us to be in our house! Have to clear a cupboard and some fridge space for their food for example! Oh my!;):rotfl:

Hi Brizzle, tis a pity the parkrun is so far away. I got there by the skin of m'teeth today, and it's only a mile away! I fell back asleep after the alarm sounded, as I'd had a broken nights sleep.

I also tried a new running club on Thursday, and they were very well organised and friendly, so I'll be going there on a Tuesday and Thursday evening. It's a great asset during the dark evenings when it isn't safe to run alone.

You could say I got my hill-climbing practice in today, as me and DH went to St Paul's Cathedral and climbed to the top of the dome. Given that I'm afraid of high walkways, I did very well. Given that DH has a chronic lung condition, and atm has a chest infection, he did marvellously.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Ooh satchmo...that sounds great. I went to the very top of St Paul's for the first time in May. It was truly fab. A gorgeous start to the day and I loved it. Well done both of you.

Will do the running..best form of exercise I know!

    Xx

Brizzle, I shall speak to OH about this as he loves running. It is over t'other side of the city but if he likes the idea you could always grab a lift with him :)

Confused though...isn't st Paul's cathedral in London?

    Hi guys and gals...

Quite a bit of good stuff to report..but..am feeling quite sick. Pulled out a handwritten scribbled sheet (dated April this year) from some pile of papers this morning which had all my CC debts on it ( not even the mortgage!) and I have just idly added them up... £26,199. 10 :eek::eek::eek:

Sick? I feel like I have been punched in the gut. Thank god me and OH had that chat and since then we have been ruthlessly ripping through the debt. How did I let it get so high??? I have been on this site since 2009 and had my first LBM in 2003. For a woman who some would say seems quite bright ;) right now I feel f'g stupid :o

Anyway...it's now much less than that. Thank god.

    So the good news..

    - lodger No. 2 came through! :T seems a lovely girl. We spent 2 hours chatting to her in our kitchen on Sunday eve which seems like a good sign. Good references and has something pretty mature and sensible about her. But, 4 weeks notice on either side if anyone wants out. Have just written up an agreement for her to sign and sent her my bank details. She will move in at the weekend. Can't wait! I will be sub £9k by Monday!!:T:)

    - sold more EBay stuff. Packed up and posted today. Up to around £210 now on A and Bay of E. Just need to keep on going!!

    - £39.88 for my knackered mobile phones..happy to get anything! That should be in my account later this week.

    - updated signature and done my TTs. Can't seem to get the money set against the debt that my budget says I should have :( but more OT this month and my expenses being paid should help the cash flow at the end of the month and rebalance the books!

    - back to work now and then to cook a lovely roast pork dinner...why?? 'Cos I am worth it !!:rotfl:

Hope everyone is in a good place...

    Laters folks!
