Hi
I think the problem will be that he did receive a service, kerri, its just that it wasn't one he realised he was paying for (and didn't need) as he thought he was buying a licence from the actual DVLA site. So its almost a 'passing off' issue. Apparently this bloke has been fined before for doing the same with passport applications so think its quite an MSE issue...:( May need to publicise it further. According to my OH the site Ts and Cs are also pretty horrific...
OH isnt a complainer by nature so will need to wind him up first!!:rotfl:
No spend today..am just doing TTs and setting up OPs for later in the week..obsessed with updating my sig almost every day though..its like a disease:rotfl:MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi all
A NSD today..first of August..thank god its been a while coming!!!
Off to cook quinoa now which has been lurking in the back of the larder for ages..its a superfood apparently so I am expecting great things:rotfl: I used the SC (which seemed a bit weird in August!) to cook some stewing steak which we will have with it..yes, more freezer O&S!
More good stuff on the financial planning front, I have cleared my miniscule OP pot in my mortgage account to pay for one of the repair bills. Better to move it than put onto the dreaded CC I thought and the current account can't stand it so that's what I have just done. So one way of looking at it is that I am £300 'up' although I am actually just shifting money..its not 'new' money so I refuse to get too excited!
I have also got my balance below £180k..that feels good as well! I own more than 50% of my house! Yay!!
I am also planning a charitable donation. We make a regular charitable donation every month to 7 charities, but I will make one to a local food bank. Part of the August challenge from NSK and a good 'un I say..
Have a good eve everyoneMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Any bill that doesn't go on the cc is a good thing, so well done. Although in my opinion the cc is supposed to be there for emergencies only, not whim buys. I will keep one cc when and if ever I am debt free!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi
Quinoa was really good...don't know why haven't used it before! Good rice or couscous substitute and much better for you.
Have done the TTs, hung out washing on line, meal planned for the next 2 days, including hoping there is some produce down the allotment...need to knuckle down to work now.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

PWPS..you are too too kind and so very lovely. I really treasure your comments:D:o Thanks FS and DFW..
It's been an OK few days..small victories..
- raided allotment at long last and culled bags of gooseberries, the hugest marrow ever ( which may be tasteless but am determined I make into curry..unless you have better suggestions!) , French beans and potatoes. A good result. Rest is over grown, sweet corn still too small and chard and spinach mullered by slugs
- paid in around £500 this week to the debts..had to pull back a bit due to van repairs but anyway will do scores later but it's closer to the £10k figure and even if its not below that magic figure, every bit helps.
- being very frugal and cooked for a lovely American friend we only see once every couple of years at home rather than go out..used everything from allotment, BM and freezer except for coriander and garlic so not bad!
- off for a lovely weekend with friends which will be lovely. Will offer to contribute so will keep you posted.
Feeling knackered but quite positive..thanks again for all your support. Hope everyone is OK

Hi Brizzle,
An excellent thing to do to donate to a food bank.
I'm not sure where there is one here.
This has reminded me though that today I was planning to declutter my underwear as there is a bra bank in our village for all unwanted bras and my SIL is running it so I thought it would be a good chance to get rid of some!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend xOrange Fairy
