Great idea OF..low income countries' small producers often don't have machines to make decent bras..so you are not undercutting the local clothing manufacturing industry if you donate. Spot on. I gave some to OXFAM a few months ago.

Enjoying weekend by seaside with friends and family very much...and they don't want us to contribute to rental costs which is very lovely and generous. A nice slow day filled with swimming, food and good company:D

Hi brizzled, how big is your van? And who do you use to rent it out? We're just back from France where camper vans are king!
  • Glad you're having a lovely break Brizzle.

    Hello folks

Good to 'see' you Mrs PG... Hope you're well too

Some good news...short but unexpected hire at end of the month. As the Mr T saying goes...every little helps:D We also got the FIT money for the panels. £245 so OK. I paid it straight across to the M£NA card;) OH got some OT...again not massive, but it's Ok and went towards the repair bills.

Finally did my mileage return.. £300 odd should arrive before end of Sept. Maybe more.
    Note to self..be more disciplined

Wonderful use ups for dinner today. Fridge has never looked so light as when i have been on this fiscal fast Mrs Tilly! Bought some groceries but several orange stickered items..eg 16 large sausage rolls for 70p which went in the freezer as snacks for travelling on the weekend! :D I also have a pending order from W&itrose with a voucher plus lots of savers. DDs away at DGPs..so food bills going down!! They eat like horses!!:T We also bought their school uniform with that free M&8 voucher I got..so no cost to me!! Yippee!

More good news..OH did lots of line drying today. We are still getting lots of cucumbers and tomatoes from the plants outside and he turned down a work meal last week as he said he didn't want to spend the money. He has turned down something this week too as he feels we can't justify the money:T

He also complained to a consumer affairs programme ..that famous one on the radio...about the DVLA thing...and they said they had had several complaints and would be looking at running a piece again soon...they have done it before...
Feel we are gaining ground :T:A

Hope everyone is having a good evening. Time to move out of work mode and into a relaxing evening with a glass of wine methinks!! ;)

Yay moving on up Brizzle :D awesome. We really need to try this use ups challenge as we have so much carp in our cupboards, yet all we seem to eat is fresh whoops! x
