DD's school isnt shut, but our [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason for not sending her is that if it continues to heavy snow for a couple of hours, we wont be able to get her and the public transport is depleted today. Also live in a cul-de-sac and we havent been gritted. She has just made some toast and a hot choc and gone back to her room. Cant remember she [STRIKE]skived [/STRIKE] missed school:D
Luckily, we have supplies of food so we wont starve:p Hospital visit has been cancelled;) so im happy with that:rotfl: it will give me time to pack for tomorrow and sort a few things out around the house.
OH is going to wire the DW up and put the new curtain track and curtains up in our room. We will only have the wooden blinds in dd's room now, so the cleaners will be happy and will be warmer.
Have spoken with sister and she had a more settled night, so thats good.
Anyway, Im off to have a hot shower, take more pain killers and have a cuppa.
Its still snowing here:eek:
Hugs to all.

Morning all!
Lots of snow in Herts/Cambs border. Worst possible day as it's our annual review here at work, and as my surname begins with B I'm right at the top of the list.
Didn't fancy driving into work today, but thankfully the trains and buses are running fine! To be fair, FirstCapitaConnect have done well - the trains to Cambridge were running half an hour late, but that's okay as there's a train every half an hour anyway, and the London-bound trains were on time!
Have fun in the snow everyone!0 -
Snow here has now turned to rain - we never get good snow in Bristol just slushy stuff. Still it did not stop DD3 going out this morning to play in it!!! She had to change her school uniform before she could go in.
My little dog is off today to meet her boyfriend - we thought that we would let her have pups this time and then get her spayed. I already have more homes for them than she could have puppies so no worries for anyone who is worried about more puppies coming into the world - I will be letting some kind gentle people who could not afford a shih tzu have their dream!
Planning to make a bread pud today and a veg curry for tea with my organic box. Other than that just need to stay in and keep warm.
Hugs to moggins and DD, hugs to all who need them.

Morning all
Happy belated birthday Topher.....hmmm scissors - you lucky girl you! lol
Had a couple of inches snow here on the Kent coast but not as much as we had a couple of weeks ago so DD's weren't impressed. Some of the schools in the next towns have closed but all the rural schools are still open - how silly is that. DH has arrived safely at work - was a bit worried knowing there was more snow where he was travelling too but he actually got in early as there wasn't so much traffic around.
OS wise today, need to make up some more lavendar spritzy water as my bottle is empty - I use it as a general room spray around the house and to give the bedding a light spritz as it airs in the morning. Going to push a broom around the hard floors and will clean out the fire place ready for a fire this afternoon when DD's come home.
Hope everyone has a lovely day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
everyone take care on the roads if you have to go out, I mis-guided the road, and clipped the kerb, and then nearly skidded round a corner, that was going 10mph - Be carefull people
DLB - Its so nice to see your kids snowballing in the back! Your DD looks a darling! Bless em!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Hello everyone,
Just a dusting in Central Scotland, which fell last night. I no longer work on a Thursday or Friday, so I don't have to venture out. Definitely a day to keep warm. Any one who HAS to venture forth, take care out there.
Hugs to natzini and anyone else that needs them xxx. Belated happy birthday to Topher. Moggins, I hope your daughter gets better soon.
I haven't managed to read the daily threads for a couple of days, so have promised myself a read after I've done some Fly-ing. Oh, and more work on Paper Mountain   - now that I've started tackling it, I guess it's down from a Munro to a Corbett, and it will be a red letter moment when I see the bare wood under the pile!!!
Whatever your weather, have a good day.
