Hi, this is the Daily Thread for
Thursday, 8th Feb 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

I cant sleep so thought i would see if any-one has started todays thread. I did get a solid 4 hours sleep and actually dont feel too bad for it. Too many things going through my mind. I posted a miserable post last night on wednesdays thread and to still feel a bit down.I decided it was better to get out of bed rather than worrry and stress about things that i cant change. Will read a magazine and try to relax a bit.
Its snowed (feels warmer than yesterday) and is still snowing so the kids will be pleased. I will have to check if the school is open, if it isnt we will have to go and make a snowman later. I hope i havent cross posted with any-one else. Will pop back later to catch up, going for a cuppa now. Have A good day every-one, hugs to those in need of one, love Elaine.

Morning Elaine, morning everyone
Like you Elaine I am having a sleepless night...this isn't at all unusual for me, lol. I woke up feeling v.warm...discovered I'd somehow managed to leave the heating on all night - not at all money saving. There is no sign of snow here in N.Ireland, in fact there isn't even a frost out there.
Nothing out of the ordinary planned for today.

Morning, I'm not one of your regulars, but I am up awake at this ungodly hour, not out of choice though, I'm working! Lots of snow where I am too, hope its not too much more or I won't get home in the morning!

just a quickie from the frugalpie house...
Don't actually need to be up for another hour but hey I'm here, bathed and raring to go...or I will be after a cuppa!
To anyone having to travel in the bad weather - please take care. I'm going to work as I work for one of the transport companies that will struggle to operate today!

Good morning everyone,
Well it has been snowing for the last half hour but seems to be easing now. I think we can forget school today. I hope that nursery are open for the LO as otherwise I will not be able to leave OH with the kids. I am not looking forward to going to work today but will have to try and get in if the kids are sorted as some of the staff live fairly rurally and turn in could be low today.
The cardiac nurse called yesterday and she had all of the test results with her and based on these he has had a mild heart attack. The hospital have also referred him back to Manchester for an op as he has a serious aortic stenosis.
According to her the irregular beat and rhythm of the heart caused the lungs to fill with fluid and not blood as we understood it and this was because the heart was not functioning properly at the time.
After work today, if all goes to plan I will have a top to toe tidy and hoover of the house.

We have snow !!! Well actually there is a slight covering on the cars but nothing on the roads, which is probably a good thing as I need to travel to London today. I've checked the online real time information and the train is running ontime at the moment so that's cool.

Morning all!
It seems that it has snowed everywhere bar my town! It's raining here. On the news, someone from a nearby village said it has really hit there, but why not us? I'm confused. They have shut Gatwick airport off too, but it is fine here, just raining. I'm going to get ready for work, and seeing what it's going to be like. Knowing my luck, we'll get nothing, and we'll just have an annoying day at work!

Morning everyone
no snow as yet just lots of sleety horrible rain but just listening to the forecast they reckon we've got blizzards on the way so if you have to travel take care and go steady
just got one going to school today if it's open a lot of the teachers for the boys school come from out of town and I haven't hared what the roads are like
got to take dd to the gp for antibiotics for tonsilitis
then I think I will have a baking day always makes me feel better when the weather's horrible not sure why though
