  • Was just going to say that there appears to be no snow for those of us in Yorkshire, when I read that Roz V is getting it in Sheffield. Blow us some north, hun, so Donny-gal then me can share!

    Happy Bithday for yesterday, Topher.

Its snowing really heavy at the moment. Have taken lots of pictures. Have lots of freecycle items being collected today so possibly some may have to be cancelled until snow melts.

Am going to spend a lot of time sorting out clutter upstairs and hopefully I'll find loads more to put on freecycle. It really desperately needs a sort, if we are to get into the rooms much longer!!!

Hope you all have a good day and those who need to go out, take care

    Morning everyone

It's cold in County Antrim this morning although thankfully we have avoided any snow, for now at least.

My partner is going out with her work mates at lunch time to celebrate a colleague's promotion.

Later we hope to relax in front of the TV and catch up on programmes we have recorded earlier in the week.

Hope everyone has a good day
    :)

    Good morning everyone,

I've not had time to read the thread so far today so big hugs or congratulations as appropriate.

Snow is still falling here and the sky still looks full, so am dashing out to the shops before any more falls

Catch up with you later. icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Morning all, the thread has reached 3 pages long already so I've not had time to read it. hugs to anyone who needs one.

It has snowed here but DS's school is not closed so the poor little devil (I say little but he is nearly 6 foot tall) has had to walk into school amongst this, even DH felt sorry for him and said we should have phoned the school and said he was sick!

I am just waiting for the doctors to ring back as DD is not getting any better and is asking for food but not eating it! Her temperature last night was 37.9 and has not gone much lower this morning. I can't keep feeding her a diet of Calpol! DH's training day has been cancelled so he is thawing out the car in readiness for me to go to the doctors with DD.

  • Morning all,

Thick snow here this morning. Mine and my husbands schools are closed so we are off today, but DD11 is still open she is gutted!!!!

Hubby is taking her in to see how many children and staff have turned up the he will make the decision.

An unexpected day off today which will entail ironing, a bit of cleaning and generally chilling out. Think I will make a nice beef stew as well.

Hope you all have a warm day.

    Morning!:D

We have snow in east london, started at 4.15 - thats cos I was up last nite too - woke up at 3am - DS2 was coughing all nite!! tried everything from cough medicine to propping him up, then down on the sofa! I was going to post on here but DH had put password on the puter! but did manage to grab a crafty 15 mins of QVC, showing the Decleor range. Does anyone use Decleor?? ive only had a decleor facial when ive been to potters in norfolk.

Lunch yesterday was great with bargainrzl, mushypeas & pennypenguin - the lovely PP brought us some HM biscuits (yum) and she brought me some "Penguin Eggs" from her chooks!! me and DD have had one this morning for brekky - and I can confirm they are delish!:T thankyou penny & glad you enjoyed the show afterwards! I hope your train journey was ok mushypeas.

and we had lunch of fish, chips and mushypeas very apt for mushypeas!

I have a couple of photos so I will try and post them as soon as ive worked out how to do it.:o and you can see the box of Penguin Eggs!;)

Happy Belated Birthday Topher! and ((Hugs)) Smokeybabe

Have a good day in the snow or not!:D
