Good morning all, no snow here either, and we're in the foothills of the Pennines! It could at least try.

OH is still away in Norway, he thought he needed a rest (A rest from what? I'm the one with the job) Anyway, that leaves me with dog sitting to sort out, so DD is coming over after work each morning from Leeds, & I'm hopping home from work in my lunch hour, then taking DD back home each evening.

Funny that the housework is running really smoothly with no house husband to mess it up.

Had a non- existant birthday yesterday, all wider family members just said they'd make a contribution to my Amazon book order, as that meant they didn't have to think of something I liked. DD had ordered another book for me, but it hadn't arrived in time. DS didn't contact me at all, OH had left a present, some scissors and some socks (! lovely!) My T/A remembered and bought me a lovely Lavender M&S set, and a girl in my class made me a card. I took cakes in for the staff, and distributed a Dundee cake (M&S Christmas sale £5) amongst the relatives on my way taking DD back to Leeds last night.... so, birthday duties over for another year, at least on my account.
    Scissors eh ? Mmm-mmm.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh well, off to work I go, at least there are fewer wash loads to process this week. I may not shop for food to see what running out looks like!!

Well I'm not going into work today... my anxiety is sky high. I can't deal with some things at the moment, and the residents assoc has decided to get their lawyers involved re our dog being a supposed 'nuisance'. Have called the agency but am unsure whether I need to call the school too... so confused and jittery.

We have let DD sleep as we have about 5 inches of snow here and still snowing:eek:    and she wont be going anywhere. We are supposed to be away tomorrow for a few days:confused:

Anyway, not going to stop long as feeling very tired.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning all,

Hope everyones keeping warm as it is bitterly cold. No snow as yet in the pennines but its due to arrive later, keeping fingers crossed it passes over us quickly.

Not going to venture far today have loads of jobs that need doing, mainly the ironing and DS bedroom looks like a war zone.

Went to the garden centre yesturday for my veg seeds plus other bits so they could do with getting started off in pots. Also got a gooseberry bush to plant out and have ordered my strawberry plants online:j

Must dash, hungry kids to feeds.

    Take care

Topher - Hugs for yesterday, and belated birthday wishes xxx

IT has snowed here too - everywhere is a beautiful white, and the advice is to stay home unless absolutely necessary. The sky is very 'snowy' - so much so you can't tell where the roof ends and the sky starts above most of the houses. The dog loves it - he's running around catching the snow flakes and thinks he's in heaven (he loves to catch anything small that flies - bubbles, moths etc)
At last I shall probably get to make welsh cakes as I don't think I'll get much else done today with this excited lot around me!
Hugs and best wishes to all - esp snowy xxxx
Glad shez, pen pen, b.rzl and MP seem to have had a nice time despite a few (!) hickups.

Can I have a bit of a winge! I keep reading "we have snow here" but then there is not so much as a county in the profile so I dont know where you are!

    Please tell us general area.

Busy day today so dont expect to manage to read all 'til tonight.

:( I want snow... There's nothing here, hardly even a frost :( Sky looks "minging" though :rotfl:

Was planning on going into uni later today to do some more printing off but have swapped my diary around so that I can do that tomorrow and have a day in the house today - seems like weeks since I had a full day at home!! No chance for a lie in though as I'm supposed to have some people coming to look at the extractor and air circulation fans in the house... I'm unsure as to whether they'll turn up though as they come from Preston and I don't know if the roads will be OK to drive (usually close the Snake and Woodhead Passes at first sign of snow!

MATHs Sausage Casserole is in the SC, and will make a steak and ale pie filling to freeze shortly (will cook pastry separately when needed as OH doesn't like it soggy with juices  ) Will also blitz the house, sort the washload that was in overnight and put a white wash in. Then will settle down to read the 650 A4 pages that I have printed off over the last week

Have a good day everyone - :grouphug: to those in need
