Morning all.
Sorry I've not been around for a few days because of w**k. Half day off though today, so I can catch up a bit.
No snow here in East Devon. It rained during the night so everywhere is soaked but it is a really beautiful morning now. The sun is shining, there is hardly a cloud in the sky and it's warmer than it has been for the last couple of days. No danger of the DDs school being shut, and they each have a friend coming for tea so I need to do a bit of a tidy up and do some baking.
Apart from that, I need to get to grips with the laptop that my school have given me. This PC is much more modern so I can't be bothered to spend time on the laptop and it's like carrying a brick about anyway.
Hope everyone has a lovely day

Morning everyone.
Welcome sue-f and hugs to smokeybabe and Mr smokeybabe
Feeling more and more tired with each day this week and really slipping behind with the house. It's silly but it really gets me down when I feel like stuff is getting ot of control so I need to catch up or I'll end up really fed up.
Sorry for the moan, just need to shake myself I guess:o
You are all very excited about the snow. We have none here which I'm grateful for as we're quite remote and I hate being cut off. I'm also a wee bit prone to falls and am terrified of slipping.
I't a beautifl day though so may take the girls for a walk after school. Will post a pick later of the view.
Hope everyone has a great day.0 -
dlb the photos are lovely. They look fab. Hope you (and your family) enjoy today.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Hurrah! It started snowing here 15 mins ago, and is settling fast.
Happy belated birthday to Topher, Valentine and JackieO!
Glad you liked the eggs, Shez! To post pics you first need a photo hosting accound, and upload the pics to that. I use Photobucket, but there are plenty of others. Let us know when you have that sorted, and we'll help you from there.

Horrible slushy snow here and it's getting heavier. I'm in the office, glad I don't have a long journey home.
Report on last night's Gillian McKeith Aduki Bean Stew & Millet Mash with Onion Gravy - NEVER AGAIN. It wasn't that it didn't taste nice, the stew was delicious (mash was a bit tasteless, don't think Dr G would approve of adding a big knob of butter but hey, she's not watching!) but it took about 2 hours to prepare and used every ring on my hob and almost every pan I own  I think the millet mash would be nicer made with sweet potato instead of cauliflower...
The stew made LOADS so I will be having leftovers for a while.
Two of my colleagues are in a band and tonight I am supposed to be going to a gig they are doing locally... but I really don't want to go... They are not on until 8:30 so I think I will go home, eat, get the WM on and then decide whether to go out.
See you later - ((((hugs)))) if you need them
EDIT No.1: oops sorry I cross posted with others about photos.
EDIT No.2: anybody tell me an easy way of peeling butternut squash?
