Im sorry for laughing but is she for real?????????????
Ive been to see a hypnotist years ago but she never came out in a while coat, goggle and chemicals in test tubes!:think::think: maybe things HAVE changed....hm
PS: Pardon me for finding this bit comical...0 -
This is bang on!!..
By the way,if she keeps texting you or phoning you, send her a letter via RECORDED DELIVERY(she has to sign for it) and tell her to converse with you that way.
I hope the above letter might stop her from threatening you..
All the best and please let us know how it goes..
Blimey!!-Never thought scammers still exist seeing as we've all become very clever!!!
Hello yesican, thanks for your response.
I was actually going to email her the man I spoke to at the Consumer Helpline said it was ok to email but she could always say she didn't get it, recorded delivery sounds like a good option.
Yes I will update you all on what happens...
If I get my just desserts for being stupid or she gets hers for being greedy.0 -

Yep you read it correctly yesican. She has a BSc with honours in Chemistry and she is a Certified Master Hypnotherapist.
Why did I fall for it I ask myself :mad:0 -
She sounds more like a Certified Master Bater.0

Is she in Manchester, by any chance?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

I'd send her this:
WITHOUT PREJUDICE
Dear Miss Thing,
Thank you for your breakdown of your costs, however as we had not started any of the agreed therapy, no monies are due at this time. As a gesture of goodwill, I am prepared to forego the £200 already paid in order to bring the matter to an amicable close. If this is not acceptable to you, please arrange for the court papers to be served as soon as possible, in order that I can prepare my counter claim for the return of the sum already paid.
Please note that I am not prepared to enter into any further discussion about this matter with you directly. I look forward to confirmation that the matter is closed, or receipt of the appropriate court documents.
Yours Sincerely,
Me
Personally I think timbstoke's letter is excellent.
Another extremely kind and helpful poster has suggested that maybe I should give an ultimatum date in the registered letter too - if she intends to start court proceedings or leave things as is, she should do so by x date so things don't drag on?
Please let me know what you all think. Thank you very much!0 -
Since she's dying to get her hands on YOUR £££ss-why dont you give her 7 DAYS to reply!.
Giving her a timescale to respond is actulayy a better idea.. (I hate to stress this again, but please make it formal ie. postal receipts cos you dont want this to come back to bite you in the end....i have been caught out before and it wasnt pretty).
All the best there...0 -

Thank you yesican, yes I will make sure I get and keep the postal receipt and make sure it is fully tracked.
Currently for timescale 2 against 0.0 -
To allow for the vagueries of the post, I would personally suggest 14 days from receipt (send it signed-for or special delivery so you can start the clock), which would be enough time to receive the letter, decide whether or not to start court action, and respond.
Does anyone know how quickly the court will process papers? In case it takes 3 weeks or something, it may be worth rephrasing things slightly along the lines of "should you choose to sue through the courts, please send formal notice of your intention and copies of any evidence which you propose to present within 14 days of receipt of this letter". Maybe something sort of a bit like that - no point setting a cut off date if the courts are processing slowly, as no matter how slowly the process the paperwork, you still have to respond once they do!0 -
HB58 thanks for your response!
Her website screams about her being a leader in her field and how she has been going for 13 years, she told me she has been successful with hundreds of clients from all over the world. I had no idea until now how unprofessional her behaviour could be.
!
If that's true and she charges £4500 per course, her accounts that are available from Companies House (for £1) will show you if she's doing that well....0
