Looks like paddy agrees with me. Email her back to state that you consider the "credit note" and the initial £200 payment as full and final settlement of the contract, and she must confirm this is the case by return email. Failure to confirm this status will result in you pursuing your case with Consumer Direct (or whoever you've been dealing with) with a view to recovering your £200 payment less her provable costs.

Cheers bod1467 you have made a great point.

Yes paddyrg has been right with all his advice so far. I am just waiting on my 'poper' appointment with the CAB at the end of this week, to see if I should just send her my letter stating that she needs to take me to court or just send her an email such as your suggestion or both. Currently whatever she send me I am ignoring, I don't want to get into a tit for tat situation with her. She can email and text me with all she likes with her threats.
  • Did she actually send you an invoice For £4500 at the begining of your 'treatment'?

Yes peachyprice she emailed it to me and this invoice had the BACS details on it which is how I sent her the £200.

Good question, and I'm not sure if she did. However I expect OP just wants to see the back of this and get on with her life. That is EXACTLY what I want, as I have other worrying things going on in my life.

Unfortunately bod1467 she did send the invoice. I paid £200 as it stated I should every month with 2 payments of £1000.

But my 1st 'therapy' phone call wasn't till the 19th of Jan (for half an hour) and before that I was supposed to send her all my food and day diaries, which I hadn't even started, so she had nothing to start my 'therapy' with.

I rung her on the 3rd of Jan straight after my husband told me about the redundency threat at his work so that I could stop her from starting any 'therapy' with me. That's why I was happy for her to keep the £200 as a penalty for not continuing. But she then said I had to pay £1500 for the 1 and a half hours she had already spent on 'working' on me. She didn't do any 'work' on me!

In which case the credit note for £4300 has cancelled that invoice, you owe her nothing more. Print that off and keep it in a very safe place!

BTW, Has she put her VAT no, c/note no. and original invoice No. on the c/note?

BTW, Has she put her VAT no, c/note no. and original invoice No. on the c/note? Yes she has done that I've just checked it.

    Thanks peachyprice!

The problem is that my husband thinks she will now re-invoice me for her time spent 'working on me' of £1500 (minus the £200 already received). This is where her £500 per hourly charge comes in, which she states she told me about in our first phonecall. I DIDNOT agree to that anywhere on the phone, via email or text!!!

If it is £1500 for 1.5 hours then that's £1000 per hour! :o

Have I missed something? Are you saying the therapy was to be conducted over the phone and not in person, or have I misunderstood?

When you call this time - record the call and inform her you are doing so (at the beginning even if you can't) as I would imagine this will change the way she deals with you when you do call...

It is £1000 an hour! Is Alan Sugar even close to that yet? I can't believe someone could value their time at this rate, would love to see how she came to the conclusion she was worth that much, unless she only works two hours a month! Wouldn't mind seeing her tax bill :)

I can't believe that she believes she can charge for reading emails of complaint!

This would be laughed out of court within seconds.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
