& its not Evferest, its EVEREST .
  • Correct, this is the first time I've ever been on one of these sorts of sites and felt strongly enough to contribute. We're actually going ahead with new Everest triple-glazed window, maybe even an orangery - we haven't decided on that. Yes, I'm in the fortunate position of having the money to consider these big projects, but I've worked & saved hard all my life, so why not?
Anyway, my point is that Everest products are top-notch and given that they will be in place for a very long time, should at least be seriously as a long-term investment. Definitely a case where cheapest is not always the best option. I've seen the alternatives, and they're just not as good.
By the way, it's all about negotiating a good deal. They want your money, so just make sure you get the best price possible.
Try not to be cynical, you'll be happier that way.

Don't you just love posters who attempt to correct other people and in the process make both spelling and grammatical errors whilst doing so.

So you know they're brilliant before installation? Or were you just convinced by the salesman?

Then you sir are a fool. I had everest round to quote and their best price was 3x the best price I got elsewhere.
Also for triple glazing but mine are the bees knees wood framed aluminum clad etc etc. 3x the price does not make better quality, it makes a fool and money parted easily.
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

I've just heard that Ted Moult's dead. Someone was trying to tell me but I couldn't hear him through my closed, double-glazed windows, and because of the helicopter behind him.

Double glazing salesman are legends in their own lunchtime.
They make some cheap money very briefly but burn out very quickly.

Double glazing is definitely one of the last refuges of the old-fashioned swindle. It's not just Everest, every one of them quotes 2-3x as much as it can be done for initially. Caveat Emptor!
