is the date of the 2nd offer letter after the date you signed the 1st offer letter?
I'm sure the'll have to honor the 2nd offerafter all you've got it in writing

The first acceptance was dated the 6th and the second offer dated the 7th.
I suppose I will have to just see what they do. The pesimist in me says that they will probably honour the first offer, however the acceptance of the second one is being sent anyway and I'll see what happens.0 -
Was the first offer of £550 a gesture of goodwill (I refuse to use the acronym GOGW!) or a full and final settlement?
In any event, guard that second letter with your life! The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
It was a gesture of goodwill. The second letter is the same but with the added full and final bit.0

Hi not sure what HFC is but yes you can claim for catalogue charges, its pretty much the same as your bank. I used this below for my opener:
I am writing to request a fully comprehensive list of all the default charges for late/missed payments I have paid over the last six years.

Hi, just a wee bit of encourage to people who are still trying to claim their banks charges and think they are not getting any where. I recieved a cheque for HFC bank this morning for £1301 full amount I was claiming back. The route I took was reporting them to the financial ombudsman and after that it took two and a half weeks for then to make a decent offer. Keep going everyone you will get there in the end. :j0

Got a Beneficial credit card out in around 2002/3. Credit limit was £250. All charges bought balance to a little under £1000. Contacted them about repayments, no help at all, charges kept rolling on every month!! Thought to my self ***k this. Stopped paying minimum payments altogther.
2005 HFC sends me some documents about a loan where they will pay of the credit card and i can then make monthly payments to pay of the loan. Also loan interest was just £66. Read thoroughly, over and over looking for the catch, there weren't one, thought ok and signed. Credit card got paid and closed.
Still paying this loan just about. Didnt make a single payment since July 2005!!! Bad Bad!! Just now started paying again.
Anyway getting to the point i was wondering whether i could claim back the beneficial charges? If i could claim and did win the charges back would HFC take the money for the loan or would i get it?shev:cool:0
