  • Hi again - does anyone know where I stand with this?

Am I able to claim back fees on this account?

    Cheers again,

    The silence worries me.

No-one had any joy with them?

    GAZ.

    Hello, new here..
I got my statements at the cost of £50!!! The cost only shrouded their guilt I thought. Then I noted the statements went back only 3 years. Added up all late charges, sent a letter to request them back then recieved a letter regarding the charges are void as of the OFT case. Rubbish! Sent second claiming they are talking out of there a*se. I was paid in full plus interest.

Although they seem scary on the surface, they were a bit too quick to pay up.
  • I got my statements at the cost of £10 and was asking for £320 plus interest which = to about £360ish, they offered me the £320 in final settlement so i took it. They were the first one's i dealt with. Now i am trying to get my payment protection (Protection Premium on HFC Statement) back as i never knew what it was or why i was paying it i was just told that i was part of my account, sent letter for that to the financial ombudsman and they are investigating this now.

i have 2 loans with Beneficial the second is the first one rewritten at lower interest rate. When i asked about insurance at first they wrote saying i had no ppi with them. I wrote back and said i wanted a copy of the first original loan agreement dated jan 05, low and behold when the copy came there was ppi! They lied! Not only that very worryingly they accidently sent me another account holders loan information including all her bank details, not sure who to report this error to? I have written asking for my ppi back as was miss sold. I got a very detailed response saying no their procedures were followed etc. I have wrote back saying their procedures are crap thats why they were fined by the FSA and their procedures remain crap thats why i am being sent other customers bank details. How come people who want their loan details cant get them but i get not only my own but other peoples its shocking total breach of Data Protection Act. Il keep everyone posted on if and when they reply :o

Tuesday last week I returned a settlement reply (recorded delivery) to

    HFC BANK LTD
    CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS TEAM
    PO BOX 3607
    BIRMINGHAM
    B1 2XJ

The royal mail Tracking system reports the letter has arrived and is out on delivery. I phoned up royal mail and they said as it I am sending to a PO Box the letter arrives at the PO Box and notification is given to the adressee there is a letter waiting. She advised me to get incontact with the recipient (fair enough)

Only problem is I didnt take a copy of the form I sent.

It is now Monday and the letter still hasn't been picked up. I have tried to phone BF and no one is able to give me a phone number for the complaints department. All I get is a forign person telling me I need to visit my local branch - quick answer but it isnt going to help me track a letter?!

    Any advise would be greatful.
