E: 29/02 Esso- 'free' cinema ticket with 3 x £30 petrol purchases

I also have sent off 3 sets of receipts and vouchers and been waiting over a month for anything and still nothing.

I have emailed them a few times and no reply to emails ever.

I have a feeling that there were limited ones available and 90% of us wont receive anything.

If this is not correct then why is no one receiving anything and why no replies (not even a courtesy email reply to update a customer)?

Until I receive anything even a reply I wont be using an Esso garage again and if nothing ever turns up I will not be using Esso ever again out of principle as I have specifically used them for this period of time.

For those who have received them how did the codes come through? Email? post?

I received my codes via email and once entered the cinema i wanted the tickets arrived within three days. If only the codes were as quick at coming

How long did you wait for the codes?

I have been waiting since 15th Jan for them and sent off for 3 codes to get my tickets with ???

hi the first lot i sent off for the codes arrived within 10 days, the second lot three weeks and i only received half the codes for the amount i sent off for

What cinema chains are participating in this promotion?

I can't find this information in the terms and conditions.

I don't want to spend out on stamps only to find out that there are no cinemas near me that I can use the tickets at.

odeon,empire and vue when you receive your codes you enter your postcode, i was given a choice of three cinemas closet to me

I think the whole movie stuff is a big joke. I have sent several emails. I have called and i have not been allowed to speak with the guys themselves. A receptionist is being used to pass messages. I sent 3 sets in diiferent envelopes a couple of days apart and got an email with only one code weeks back. I am yet to receive any movie vouchers.

This smells like a scam to me!!!

I will agree with you i sent off 2,4 and 2 and still waiting, i was the same as you sent off 6 together and received only three codes:(

Filled up yesterday only to be told no vouchers - quote- 'while stocks last' won't be going back to Esso! better prices around. Lets get a boycott Esso going!

I received a letter today about my missing cinema ticket saying that I sent copies but they are giving me a code as a goodwill gesture.

Firstly, the copies were stapled to the voucher by the Esso garage we used and secondly there was no code on the letter!

Using saynoto0870 I found the following geographical contact us number [text removed by MSE Forum Team] to contact them (You have to ask for Esso Movies promotion help desk when you get through) and asked about the lack of code and apparently they have sent out a lot of letters without goodwill codes in error and will be resending with the code to people affected by this issue.
