E: 29/02 Esso- 'free' cinema ticket with 3 x £30 petrol purchases

My local esso has been giving me duplicate receipts to send off and to keep the originals for work. I have just read the post where someone has posted that you can't use duplicates!! Now I'm annoyed they didn't point this out to me when they gave me the duplicate receipts! The first time I didn't actually ask, she just told me that was what it was for!!
Will have to see if I can retrieve my original receipts.

I don't think that this promotion is organised well. First to collect all the stuff, then to post it and then to wait...nobody knows how long...I'm waiting for the code two weeks and I don't believe I'll receive it...

Have you received them yet? I've been waiting a week also... I keep checking the junk mail and nothing yet... I hope i get my tickets by the end of this month as i'm planning to use them whilst away for the weekend... Can anyone confirm what e mail address they come from so i can filter it from spam...

info@claim.essomovies.co.uk . This was the e-mail address my message came from. An interesting point was that although I had to pick a specific cinema I received a generic Cineworld voucher that appears to be valid at any Cineworld cinema.

So is it only Cineworld that the vouchers are valid for? Because if it is I'll not bother sending away for the ticket as there isn't one near me.

Hoow long did you wait?? It's been 3 WEEKS now for me. Phoned up and they say I'm not on the system so they haven't processed my claim so can't give me my code. Apparantly they open them in date order so anyone wait less than me???

Perhaps if you choose a cineworld they give you a cineworld voucher... if you choose an odeon you get an odeon voucher etc..

I just filled up at our local esso to get another two vouchers. I had to ask and the guy said they had run out Has anyone else had this happen? He said I could take in my receipt next time I was there and they'd give me tickets, but I can't believe they could run out of them - it doesn't seem particularly well organized.

After 4 weeks (20 business days - double the told waiting time) I phoned up and my order had been processed. Just for the other 3 It seems they must have more demand than expected.... if you're still waiting wait for 4 weeks before giving them a call...

I complained to BBC watchdog ......
