E: 29/02 Esso- 'free' cinema ticket with 3 x £30 petrol purchases

This promotion is driving me crazy!! I sent off my first six receipts and coupons and recived two tickets for the empire cinema within two weeks from start to finish.Used them this saturday with no problems:)
3 weeks ago sent off for 3 pairs of tickets and have only received 3 codes instead of six:( how can this be i sent them all in the same envelope.
I emailed them three days ago with no response has this happened to anyone else??

Thought I would share my experiences as I seem to have run into similar problems as many others on here.

I sent off two sets of vouchers several weeks ago, waited and waited, called, was told there was nothing on the system, waited, called again and got a really helpful lady who searched on lots of options, postcode, address, name etc and eventually found me. They had my post code and e-mail address wrong on the system, that may be down to my hand writing, but ultimately as I had opted for e-mail response I was never going to get my vouchers.

She was able to give me my code over the phone, which I have now entered in order to get my cinema ticket. What a system, how did anyone ever come up with something that involved so many hoops ???

Anyway as mentioned above I sent off two sets and they have no record of my second claim. The claims were sent one day apart and my first one was processed on the 8th Feb and so I am giving them a few more days to process the 2nd one. NB I know the one that they have processed was the 'first' as the second was in my wife's name..............

Also my garage ran out of tokens but I kept filling up and eventually they got some more stock and honoured all my un-claimed receipts.

Now I have 3 more sets of vouchers ready to be sent off and if I am really lucky I may get something back in time before the offer expires at the end of March.

When you think about all the money you've spent, all the hassle you have been through to get the tickets and at the end of it you might just get to see a film if you turn up and it is not fully booked you have to question whether it was all worth it.

Does anyone happen to know if you can use the vouchers (specifically ones for Vue Cinemas) to pre book on-line and reduce the risk of turning up and not getting in ?

firstly the other three could be on their way... As we know waiting times have increased throughout the promotions duration. Also phone them don't email as they never reply.....

I highly doubt it as they are special vouchers and even if you can you'll have to pay a booking fee. You could queue up and buy tickets and hour or so before the screening go shopping or something then come back if that's convienient

I have now been waiting 2 weeks and nothing, apparently i'm not on their system either... Vouchers were sent signed for as well and the royal mail site shows them as signed for, i've sent off enough vouchers for 7 tickets now, i don't think i will bother for the rest of the promotion and in future i will stear clear of Esso... A shame really as i do 60,000 a year... Back to tesco i think...

Received 3 of my 6 tickets i applied for, rung them today as somebody suggested and got no where just told i was on the system and even though the 6 applications were sent in the same envelope they would have been split up during the checking process and should receive my codes with in the next sevendays:(
Do they not think i sent the 6 off together for a reason
I am really unsure i will recive the other 3 codes:(

Think the Esso cinema tickets are a scam. They can't find mine on the system and I sent them off weeks ago! One way to get people to pay extra for Esso fuel!!! Not only that but went to the trouble and cost of posting them and still haven't heard anything

at least tesco will send you your clubcard vouchers!! I think i will join you:)

i have applied for two sets and you put your postcode in when you recieve the code and choose the cinema nearest to you, i got the choice of 3 nearest to me

i sent off for 6 and waited three weeks before i received just 3 codes rung them to see where the other three were and told i should receive them within seven days i am unsure if they will come
