Cinema participation
Q. Which cinemas are participating in this promotion?
A. There are over 300 cinemas within the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands participating. Cineworld, Vue, Odeon, Empire, Reel, Showcase, Apollo, Hollywood and Merlin chains are participating in the promotion. Selected Independent cinemas are also participating. When you enter your code, you will be able to see the three closest participating cinemas to your postcode and choose the cinema best for you.
Q. Are West End cinemas participating in the promotion?
A. Unfortunately no West End cinemas are included in the promotion. In addition, other selected central London locations of the above chains are excluded. The excluded locations from the above chains are as follows:
(Cineworld in the West End, Chelsea, Fulham Road, Haymarket and Shaftsbury Avenue) Odeon in Covent Garden, Kensington, Leicester Square Mezzanine, Marble Arch, Panton Street, Tottenham Court Road, West End and Whitelys, Showcase in Bluewater, Empire in Leicester Square and Vue in the West End In addition to this list, all other West End Cinemas are excluded. However, there are numerous other cinemas included in Central and Greater London and these will be presented as options when you enter your postcode online.
Q. Can I find a list of all the participating cinemas in the UK?
A. No but you can find the nearest cinemas to your postcode entered on the website, after you have entered your code.0 -
What a crazy redemption procedure - send vouchers to Esso by snail mail, Esso send back a code by snail mail, enter the code online, Esso send cinema ticket by snail mail!
It's a very generous offer, particularly as so many customers would spend £90 on fuel in 2 months anyway, so I can only assume they made the procedure so complicated in order to drastically reduce the redemption rate.
It's worth checking the participating service station list before making a special journey to your nearest Esso - I just had a look and my 2 nearest Esso garages aren't on the list:

if they made it 2 -4 tickets, and maybe a hotdog..
how tight are Esso, considering the billions of profit petrol co's make!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I've just quickly scanned the t&c's, but can't see if you're allowed to apply more than once, or put two applications in the same envelope - ie one for me & 1 for OH?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

Not sure about putting multiple claims in the one envelop though.0 -
In the terms its states: 8. Only original vouchers and itemised till receipts are acceptable. Duplicates, photocopies, damaged, altered or unreadable vouchers or till receipts will not be accepted. A credit/debit card voucher does not count as a till receipt and will not be accepted.
Does that mean they only accept VAT receipts? Is the debit card receipt not a receipt but a voucher? Because I need to keep the VAT receipts.0 -
I think it's because debit / credit card receipts are not itemised, you could be paying for car wash, food and drinks, not petrol.
You need to enclose a SAE if you want your receipts back.0 -
