Thanks all of you yes it goes to show its worth asking for more you have nothing to loose really. Its going to be interesting at the strategy meeting next week, Thurs & Friday who has got a job and who is going. I am glad I dont have to worry about the job interviews for my "own job" now. Filled in my Uni application and started looking at one of the job applications but not in the mood really.

Went to Aldi yesterday and got some bamboo canes, some fertiliser and some love small daffodils. My lovely friends have spent two days on the greenhouse just need the glass now.

I am really happy with it cannot wait to start using it. Lawn looks a mess but hopefully it will recover. Also planted my rhubarb (got from friend who has left the country) covered it in straw you can see the wigwam behind the greenhouse. Dug a load of old roots out and filled the hole with manure and compost so fingers crossed it doesn't mind its moved across the road.

Hope you have sunshine where you are.

PS What does SPAG stand for. Might start a new diary when my current job ends. New beginnings and all that.

Afternoon told my immediate colleagues at work I'm leaving they were chocked but all decided to have the interviews. My last day is 31st May which is later than I thought. Spoke to boss she is cool about me doing 3 or 4 days a week and to let her know if I need time off for interviews.

Was due to see two people who works in same field as me but are also friends. It got cancelled but I got one of them to check out the situation with two of the jobs. Basically it's now 20 hours and 30 hours separate jobs as they advertised last month as 1 job and not a single applicant. It is very specific skills they need and mine are 14 years old but I spoke to the manager and she assured me I still had those skills. She also told my friend the job could be full time for the right candidate.

I am chuffed at this as I thought it was a bit above me to go for this senior position but when the manager said she wish I had applied last time it would have saved them the hassle and stress I was really pleased. She also put in an email to my friend that I would be an asset to any xxx organisation.

Well that's cheered me up no end and there is still the other job I can go for.

Handing my company car back in a week so will save nicely on tax. New little car is fine I can cope with it and I have got it now anyway.

Right to do list for today as I'm away Thursday and Friday and I keep forgetting to do things:
    1. Write application forms x 3
    2. Loose roof tile (spoken to roofer will have a look)
    3. Speak to plumber about noisy pump (done he is on the case)
    4. Windscreen wiper to be fixed (done)
    5. book hotels for work for two nights (done) earned £54.20 cashback
    6. washing (2nd load on)
    7. buy spike for washing line
    8. book return from HQ for Tuesday (done)
    9. reboot satnav as its stuck on the boot up screen. (done)
Only fun things to do is plant up my strawberry plants in new pot tower and getting some more soil if I have time.

My two remaining colleagues have their interviews today so bosses need to decide who they are keeping before the strategy meeting tomorrow morning. I wonder when we will know I am just so glad I'm not part of that now.

Handing back my company car on Tuesday so that will save some tax oh need to book train will add that on the list now.

I think that covers everything will need to come back in here and take things off the list as I go.

So list going well as you can see, had lunch and ready to tackle the application forms. They are the biggest hurdle so may just do my expenses before that and make a coffee.

Got one application done but still need to check it. There was 14 person spec points so its 9 pages long. The other two should be easier to do but still planning to spend a lot of Saturday doing it whilst my friends build mt greenhouse.

Work has decided who gets the jobs remember there was 4 jobs for 5 people. Well 3 people got them so that's one person out of work. I am so glad I'm out of it. Has to go to a strategy planning meeting today and tomorrow. It will be nice to see my team but also very odd.

Next week I shall be off to Denmark on Thursday so need to get all job applications etc sorted.

Survived the stupid two day residential strategy meeting and got 1 application done so only 1 to do now. Have seen two 6 months jobs in London but not sure if I want to apply.

Met up with a lovely lovely MSE'er yesterday locally for a coffee, felt like we had known eachother for ages but still not really. Very nice and I hope we can meet again. Not sure if I can say who I met but if she comes on here she can tell you herself.

Friends finally finished the greenhouse in the snow and here it is.

    And another picture

I love it and if it wasnt so cold outside I would get on with my shelves and other bits. Need to write this 1 application so better crack on with it.

Gosh time flies I just seem so busy at the moment.

Handed car back so driving the Corsa and thinking of the mileage money, it's ok but not something I would choose, comfy though which is good as my back is playing up.

Roof chased up so should be fixed soon £50 is fine too.

Plumber coming today hopefully he can sort things out before I need to leave for the airport at 1pm.

I have not packed or done e last bit of shopping will have to get a move on and do that before he comes at 10am

Also need to write a tiny bit more on my job applications the three are ready to send off today.

There are two 6 months contract in London to apply for well 1 actually but I am running out of time. Although they would be amazing for the CV and really interesting to do they are only 6 months and they won't give me the management experience I crave/ need.

I might have a bash as my current boss has said she would help me and she knows a lot about the organisation I am applying for.

Well spoke to the girl who didn't get her own job yesterday work is messing her around. They say she can have her statutory redundancy tax free but must pay tax on the bit "they give her to shut up and go away". I have still not had mine properly in writing and really need to sort it. Might wait until I get back from Denmark on Monday can't really face it right now.

Right best get a move on, packing to do and shopping to of. Got a MS at Heathrow before I fly should be ok and I can enter the data when I get to my mums. Looks like its just going to be mum and sister with family that is coming as uncle is ill and so is mums partner. Cool by me will be good to spend some time with them.

Next week is also cool my friend is coming with me for a tour of North Devon and Bristol. Work for me mini holiday for her. Should be cool.
