I do like VW shame our local dealer is so rubbish.

Anyway news from the Company sale the people are super keen and want to employ DH for 5 years and hope he will stay longer even if its part time.

They cannot pay much up front and we didn't get as far as terms but had a chat with DH and FIL and this is what we would like:

    Company is worth £120,000
DH gets to work 5 years at his current rate of pay plus package
    FIL works 6 months
They rent the unit for 5 years (will give extra £500) for DH

    Our suggested payment plan:
£30,000 on take over (that will pay DH, FIL and BIL their original £10,000 back each)
Then £2500 a month for 3 years and we can even stretch it over 5 years if they prefer.

FIL was surprised at this but as interest rates are so low and we have no mortgage to pay off a big lump sum isn't going to do much in the bank. I would rather drip feed it into some safe investment.

DH has got £15K coming from his mums inheritance but he wont get that until past April so I am going to lend him enough to open an ISA this year so he doesnt loose out on his tax free allowance.

I am thinking Santander 123 as he has the credit card already and we can then top it up for next year until end of May by which time his inheritance should have come through.

DH is going to the dentish this afternoon booked him a scale and polish he hates dentists and will not like this but he went for a checkup 2 years ago and didnt get any work done. He so needs it hopefully he will this time.

Right enough waffle just one final thing did a gig for work yesterday, some wine left over boss already said take a bottle home I had already done so when she said you must take a bottle home. I got two nice Waitrose white wine at £9.99 far more than we normally pay.

Thanks for popping in that's a lovely tabby in your avatar is it yours?

The little seedlings are from the specials I ordered at Christmas from Morgan and Thompson begonia bulbs on the shelf, snap dragon, petunia and lobelia in the trays 48 mini plugs for £4.99 and also 5 fuchsias. Sown thyme, a few beans, and some marigolds.

    Also got Cosmos indoors.

Really tired tonight as Thomas woke us up at 3.45 and DH went and made tea.:eek::eek:

Going to make steak and chips for dinner :)

Right been productive today lots of money related stuff done and I have got a red Fiat 500 with white white wing mirrors its so cute :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T:T

I was sensible though as its a colour therapy so just 1 up from the standard lowest spec Pop it basically has air con as extra. Its coming in next week so sooner than I thought.

Fiat don't really discount their cars but its £10750 but they are giving you £500 towards the finance which is 5.68% apr over 3 years but you put down £3000 then pay £151 per month and then £4500 at the end. I works out to cost about £900 in interest but you can pay it off anytime and just pay 1 months interest extra.

I did get mats for free and the best bit is they are paying me £3500 for my Corsa which is £500 more than I paid.

Also opened up a 123 Major ISA for DH pain in the bum as I couldn't open it online and he flipped doing it on the phone but we managed it.

Also got his new glasses, shopped in Tesco and Lidl, cooked beef in the slow cooker and been out for Brunch plus a drink later on. Quite productive really.

Also just ordered a I love Maine Coons sticker for my new car as I lost the last one when I gave the Passat back.

Really happy about my new car it means will get £1000 back as they can only take a max 30% deposit so that will be handy.

Freezing cold might go and have a bath as DH is watching the rugby. Having some low alcohol fizz later.

    Hi TG

Happy new car :j I caught your car update on the MfiT T3 thread. I was going to stop by here anyway so I've just been catching up on your news. I can see s few posts ago that you seemed to be wavering on the FIAT so it looked like the test drive sealed it. Great deal to and not to mention getting £500 more in part-ex than you paid for it, very MSE ;)

You're putting me to shame as I've been whinging about my car and needing to get it changed for weeks now and still not done anything about it; in the same amount of time, you've bought not just one but two cars :rotfl:

Very well done on all your jobs new. You're a real lesson for us all as it's so easy to stick in the same old groove wonder if there is anything else for us out there, or, even if anyone else would want to employ us, but there you are, picking up interviews and jobs all over the place - brilliant job TG.

PS, did you catch the post on MfiT T3 asking if you can fit in your new car :rotfl: I'm the other end of the scale and once couldn't even do a test drive because the seat would not move far enough forward. That makes me sound tiny lol, I'm not really, just nicely average :D

    Regards

    Car sounds lovely :j.

Fiat DO give discounts - massive in some cases - but not off 500's as they are so popular (knowledge based on having had several Fiats, knowing the salesman well and mystery shopping :rotfl:). Sounds like a good deal and coming soon so that is great :T:T:T.

DD on hols and I have her little car parked in garage. There is so much room and I was just thinking that a little 500 would look good in there. I am not going to look at the website though. Oh no .

EDIT: Flaming website crashed on ie & ff so that was lucky :)

Thanks ATT a lot has happened in the last month and being made redundant is like a personal criticism not nice. It's nice to have a job to go to and compensation and I must admit the car is a real treat to myself.

It's really tiny but as I'm not going to carry anyone in the back it's doable and the driver seat does go a long way back. It's also very tall so headlight is no problem.

Just been down to sign the paper work I get £1100 back but I think I will just pay the whole thing off as I don't need the finance really.

    Get it Thursday hopefully.

ATT go and have a look at one it might suit you unless you still do lots of miles. The 1.2 is really nippy compared to the Corsa 1.2 auto.

Just build my green house shelf only to realise it won't fit. I know it's not the ones I really wanted that goes with the greenhouse but they assured me they would fit still. Wrong so been in touch and howpfully they will take them return and send me the real ones.

Thanks Gally it is just so cute and I fell in love with I. Useful to know they don't give discounts I figures that much. They must make some on the finance since they push that.

Just changed my insurance over £31 more that's not bad is it. New one comes with AA so don't have to buy that as I was planning to do.

Loaded the Corsa ready for my trip West tomorrow loaded to say the least, golf clubs, trolley, suitcases and other kit. All fits but may not have done in the Fat. Still that sort of travel will soon be over,
