MOOLOO'S continuing saga Part 4

Shame about the silver bracelets! Can't believe you had so many of them. I had quite a few rings from silver studios in Aflex Palace (Manchester), they had no sentimental value and I certainly wouldn't have ever worn them again, so was very happy to receive so much money for them.0

I dont think the things I have actually weigh very much. But my weighing scales have given up the ghost at the moment.!
I used to collect silver bracelets. I got one for my 13th Birthday, and then continued to get them when I lived in Cyprus mostly. I had them from my wrist to practically my elbow. When I started to get trouble with my neck, it was suggested that it was carrying around 2 1/2lb of silver on my arm. So I stopped wearing them. Then some of them were quite fine, (Dad bought me 36 back from Malta I think it was), and they snapped under the weight of the others. then the twins started to play with them, and the rest is history so to speak.
Anyway, a few extra £ in the wedding kitty, will be a good boost for Biggest of Mooloo. She rarely asks for much and is a huge help, emotionally as well as physically these days.
As I need to declutter I thought I would start somewhere.
My next battle with myself is to overcome my inexperience with the camera, and learn to photograph my work properly. I am sure it would start to sell, if I got the photographs right, and on to the internet. I have quiet a few things made lately, that are just sitting around in my work room.
Today I started to turn a small mini skirt, into another bag. I had bought the skirt in a charity shop for a few £ last year, and now I have dug up some co-ordinating fabric to make handles and pockets, and to line it. So at least I have started something. I was a little worried yesterday that I had the equivelant to writers block, in the crafting, as I sat in my work room last night, and with all my fabrics etc around me, I was not inspired to make anything!.
Twin1 is here, (although she tried to get out of it), and so DGD is cuddled up with her Mum. Tomorrow its all swap and twin2 will come over.
I am off to do a bit of research on the laptop, while I have the chance and the arm is not too bad.

Try lois jewellery as well Mooloo, they are good too. I have used Hatton Garden as well, but both offer a similar service. You might just get a few pennies more, so it's worthwhile to put the weights in at both and see what happens.
I think it is: www.lois-jewellery.co.uk just google it if that's wrong.0 -

Problem at the moment is that I havent a clue what the bits weigh, as my scales are up the spout. I suppose it may be worth buying somemore scales, but it will have to hang on, as for some reason there was a mistake with my Npower bill from the big house, in 2009!! and I have had to pay out £31.16 today that I had not planned to do. Not a happy bunny.
Today we had the panel meeting. A rather daunting sea of faces to sit infront of and answer questions. I didnt stay for the feed back as I had to take Twin2 to her councilling session. However I had an email from the social worker, and she said that I did well, and that they compliemented my abilities etc and that they will continue to recommend that I remain DGD's Kinship carer.
So thats another hurdle over for a little while.
My councilling went quite well, and I am beginning to feel a bit more in control of things in my life then I was at the end of last year. He has suggested a few techniques to try to help with my pain management and coping strategies etc.
Twin2 came home with me, so she is here to help with her sisters daughter! I am cooking some basic dinner, just some chicken and rice.
I think an early night will be called for. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
How is Twin 2's relationship with DGD? Is she bitter towards her or does she try to build bridges to maintain a relationship? x0

She is fine, normal aunty status. Doesnt stand for any nonsense, and will help me where its sometimes difficult to get the other twin too. She asks to come over, and offers her help, so I accept it and use the time to be more relaxed etc. Although there are times when I wish that I was free of all of them. But I think any mum has those dark thoughts at times, if they are honest.
My councillor is helping me with the situation of the twins and the children, and thier demands on me. I am hoping that I can learn to detatch a bit more over time. Try to lower my standards of expectations, so that I am not dissappointed all of the time. etc.
He has a point. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Having Internet issues so using my phone!
I think the counsellor has a good point about detaching & setting your expectations lower - but may be easier said than done!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Had a terrible night last night. Dispite an early night, I was disturbed by Twin1 calling at 10.30 and then again at 1.30am! She was calling because DS is in agony with his tootheache, and she didnt know what to do. She has been on the phone all morning as well. Trying to find a dentist for him to go to. But it looks like none of them have any money, so it will be me to take them or send over the money! Its very frustrating.
I didnt get back to sleep until after 4am. Not enough sleep.
My neck, arms and shoulders are aching, and I am trying my hardest to relax the muscles.
Biggest of Mooloo is here with the baby, and along with twin1, the beds have been changed for me. I do like getting into a clean bed I must admit.!
I have managed a little sewing, turning a mini skirt into a handbag, as I do.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Get DS to phone NHS direct, that may help find an emergency dentist.Signature removed for peace of mind0
-
DS is on an emergency list now for the dentist and he got to see a doctor who has given him some painkillers until he can see the dentist.! Relief. Maybe I will not be bothered tonight. I shall turn off the mobile, but cannot unplug the house phone. Well I could, but I would be too worried incase something really was an emergency!
Gathered more bits for Biggest to sell on Ebay today. Will hope that some things will be of use to others and bought. It will help to the wedding fund, and help me clear my clutter.!
I still havenot got off my proverbial and got my sewing ironed, and photographed. I will never sell anything unless I get it advertised! Why am I procrastinating? Stupid. But there you are, when I think of it I am usually lying in bed, or like now taking 5 while I am cooking the dinner? Not the time to be doing it. Sunny days, and a clear table needed as well! mmmmm Must improve and stop procrastinating.
I have rung the DWP and had my ESA payments swapped to the new bank, and also the Tax credits. I havent had the fostering funds changed yet, but i thought that I would hang on and see that things are transferred smoothly before I have that paid across as well.
Just the rent to pay. So I will do that first thing, and I am then uptodate with everything.
I hope. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
