Ah, now I am in the middle of changing banks, I dont know which one to use to pay the rent! eek. Need to work that one out. The cards, cheque book and some pin numbers have arrived for the new bank, I have asked two of the departments to pay into the new account. I dont have all the banking log in information yet for the online banking for the new account to see whats there yet.
I will also have to remember to change my Paypal aco!!!! to the new banking details.
Yesterday I went to see my parents new kitchen, stayed for lunch with them, and had a good play with DGD2, while I was waiting with her mum. (Biggest of Mooloo).
I spent the evening going through a pile of papers lurking on the table, we can now see the table!.
I also deciced that it was time to use up some store cupboard goodies, and we had an instant whip for tea, made with the powdered milk, and I have a trifle on the go, usuing some cherries that my sister had made soaked in almanac! yummy!.
Just off to the old style thread for some basic recipies for some biscuits or something as we have no biscuits or snacks left in the house. I am trying to wait until the new month before I do my food shopping. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning,
I am really thrilled that one of my purses has sold on Folksy. Its my first sale on that site. Heres to this being a good start.
Had a quiet weekend with BF here. He has the day off today, so we were paint hunting yesterday for him.
DGD enjoyed looking at all the bathrooms and kitchens! The bath she chose was the most expensive. She has her grannies taste?!
Only day with any set plans this week is Wednesday, taking Molly's daughter to northampton I think, for an exam, and I am going to the bank, and councilling. Other then that its a week where I hope to dedicate some time to my sewing.
I had a rebate from the council for my Council Tax! Another change for some reason. Wish I knew what that one was. Anyway where I thought I had to pay another £147 to them, I dont. What a brucybonus! £19.79 rebate too.
Decided on a colour for my bathroom, so perhaps I will tackle that mould once and for all, and get it sorted out. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Can I suggest that you "borrow" the scales at the post office when you next visit? It will give you an idea of the value and then you can decide if you want to go ahead.
Not sure if I dare? But may well give it a go. Or I am stuck for a while.
Just been putting more of my bits n bobs up on folksy. As I was so inspired by the sale today. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Yes, it does, as it was in the local shop and thats the price he had put it in his shop at. I am alas not good at editing pictures and I just wanted to get the picture on the web. Its on the second picture of the purse(the reverse side). It would have been worse if I had put it in at £3.95 and the price sticker was £3.75:D:rotfl:
How are your sewing exploits coming on Florenceem. I originally thought that you were new to sewing, but now realise that your an old hand like me. Getting back into it now there is more time on our hands. (Ah hem- we make time!).;)When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I have a light for the winter. To sit in front of every day for about 30 minutes or so. It really helps me with the SAD.
I hope that we get an early spring for you then. Although we need the water, so it means achey bones for me, but thats better then a water shortage. Or so I tell myself!!:D
I have been sewing today. Really pleased with what I have done. I shall go and stick it on the blog. If I get 5 minutes peace from DGD.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Morning, I seem to have missed a day somehow? Read but didnt write. Life seems to be cracking on at such a pace. I cannot believe that it is February already.
Tomorrow DGD is going to stay with her Grandad and his wife for the weekend, and BF and I are off to Bournemouth for the weekend. I know that the weather is not what you would want from a weekend away, but I am so looking forward to getting away and leaving the mobile behind. I am not going to be available to my lot!
(I shall give BF's number to the grandad for emergencies). But I am not taking my phone, so I cannot be tempted to answer it or switch it on even. It will remain firmly at BF's until we get back.
Today my car is being serviced. I couldn't put it off anylonger. The petrol consumption was getting rediculous, and the car was not always shifting gear when it should. Heavens knows what they will find, but I really need to keep the car in better condition.
I just hope that my savings will cover it. Although I do now have the back up of the credit card, but at the moment, thats pointless as I have it to pay back the final balance each month by DD. So no matter what I must keep within my means. The idea of the card is to continue to rebuild my credit ratings etc, just incase a miracle happens and I do ever want to be part of a mortgage etc. That would be the only type of loan I would envisage ever getting into again!. And thats highly unlikely unless I am in with BF ever. And yep, lets face it, that would be a bit dodgy with our track records of breaking up!.
Anyway, what else? Oh apart from DGD drawing all over her face in felt tippen the other night, and her Mum doing her usual cancelling, nothing major has happened.
Oh yes, my councillor cancelled yesterday, so while Twin2 was in with hers, I got to wander around Weston Favell shopping centre. I splashed out just over £40, on paint, towels, lampshade and wall stickers, (oh and my shampoo) in Wilkinsons. I managed not to spend in other shops, except for 2 sewing magazines in WHSmith.
I thought I would try some different ones to the ones I was subscribing too, as I have cancelled my subscriptions as I thought that one or them was getting really boring, and that the other two, were ok, but i couldnt remember which subscription was for which magazine. So I cancelled them all, then when they stop comming, if I miss any particular one, I can always decide to subscribe again if I want too. I nearly said need to, but nobody really needs magazines. Its a want.!
Had some really weird dreams lastnight about wedding dresses. Obviously sparked by the Mrs FIxit programme and the fact that Biggest of mooloo's wedding is on the horizon. I got up early as I couldnt sleep anymore with the things whirling around in my head.
Cuppa and turned the heating up. But my fingers are really cold. Time to hug the mug. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
