Long day being up so early this morning. Had to have a rest when I got home at 3pm. There is an advantage of having DS here at home, he keeps an eye on DGD.
Biggest of Mooloo and I have decided to stay at the holiday for an extra two nights. So I have now started to put my holiday head on.
Tomorrow I will do the packing etc.
Food comes on Sunday, then we are going to go and stop at hers on Sunday night so we can have an early start on Monday. Starting to really look forward to it now.
Plan to have a few meals out this time as well. So not taking as much food with us. Just enough for snacks and breakfast that sort of thing. Milk for the girls to get us going.
Time to dish up dinner. I left a lamb hotpot in the slowcooker when i went out this morning. Crickey how organised was I??
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I second the standing order instead of a DD. I pay my council tax weekly by SO and it is so much easier.

When I get back off of holiday I will sort out whats to be done and set one up. Good idea, I agree. Most of my things are on a DD, only have one Standing order, and thats one that pays of DS's debts. (I take the money back off of him when he gets his money before I give him what is left.).
DGD actually let me lie in until 8.15. Progress slightly.
I sat at the sewing machine in my bedroom last night, and started to do my first piece of "scrappie" patchwork. Interesting, but not sure i was doing it correctly. But its only practise afterall.

A day of washing, ironing and packing today. Which is a pity that the weather is rather inclemant. Oh well. Turn the music on, and get to it, as soon as I have sorted out what I need to do on the laptop.:D

I am a lucky person as my Dad has apparantly sent some extra money over to Biggest of Mooloo for us to take the girls out on a day out when we are away. (I dont know how much, I just know that he sent me a text to say he had done it.).
My Dad is a big old softie really, and as they are away in France at the moment, I really do appreciate it, as they could have been spending it on themselves.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday Mooloo.

I do wonder what your girls will do if it comes to the point when you can no longer drive? I do feel your burden, as I have a son with autism and I worry about his future. I know you don't always think it, but you are a really wonderful mother and grandmother. I just wish you wouldn't have so many things go wrong!

They say that the Lord doesn't send us anything we can't cope with, but I do wish He would give you a break occasionally!!!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

I agree suziQ ,I dont post often but read mooloo every day and sometimes I am exhausted just hearing what she has to put up with every day,I also feel so mad that no official body seems to be helping her and her family.
Just hope she has a good week and the rain doesn't spoil her break.

I read in the news today that grandparents who become carers to prevent their grandchildren going into care will be given the same benefits as foster parents and lone parents of children under 5.

    I hope this helps you..

Hope the holiday is going well.

Mooloo is already getting this - the SG Allowance is the same rate as foster carer allowance less child benefit.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Hi all, I am back home!
Phew what a week. Every day was rather actionpacked and I think I need another holiday to recover!.
The Kids adored the characters, Syd the Seagull and Lizzie the Lizard. We went to all the tots clubs in the mornings, and they had such fun. Then we went to Flambards, one day, and Paradise Park, Landsend, and visited portleven. We had one nice day, were we sat by the swimming pool and swam in the outdoor pool for an hour or so. But that was the only really good day alas.
In the middle we had one day in the van, apart from the kids club as I was not feeling very well. Doing so much took it out of me.
But it was a wet and horrible day anyway, so we would have struggled to do much. Used the facilities, Kids ball gym type room.
It was an expensive holiday. But I will just have to start to recoupe things.
I still havent had my money back from before the SG award for petrol.
I have just had a termination fee of £179.94 from EDF energy! So I have spent 30 minutes on the phone just now asking Why, and they have come back with that there was a termination fee from swapping, and that was £25 each utility. I pointed out that I didnt change my Gas, and that the electric was only changing the meter, from a pree pay to an ordinary one. So why have they charged me over £150 more?? He has agreed to refund me the difference his words were "if that is the case". But I have asked for a transcript of the conversation where they tell me that there is a termination fee. Also that I want to speak to someone higher. on phone now.

Supervisor is going to search for the phone call and check it out.

I have received back in the post the two pieces of bunting that was ordered. No note. No messages? So I do not know what was the problem.
But I will be able to use the flags, or some of them anyway, on other projects. I do feel sad that the person couldnt talk to me, and explain the problem, or if there is a problem with my sewing? Nothing.
But Thankyou for returning it anyway.

The council have sorted out my housing benefit, and council tax benefits at last. So fingers crossed now that I can get things on to the straight and narrow.
I was not impressed to get a call from the estranged husband to say that DS has run up a bill of £150 on the mobile phone he borrowd for a month.
DS is now without a phone.
DS also went to town on the bus, left his work at the bus stop! twit.
He went out leaving the bathroom window open as well. As its on the ground floor, we could have easily been burgled! I will be having some words with him.
I asked him to finish painting the bathroom while we didnt have DGD's little fingers around. But he hasnt done anything.
He even used my sugar bowl as an ashtray!!! He is not supposed to smoke in the house. I am gutted that he is not iimproving in his responsibilites.
I will have to go and see my parents house and makesure that he has not messed that up either as he has the key to thiers.

I didnt hear from the twins at all. Thats a miracle. Mind you they dont have credit on thier phones so cant ring my mobile.
I havent heard from the police so nothing too major could have happened.
I am expecting the school uniform delivery for DGD to arrive today, so I cannot go out until it has.
I need to get some bread, and something for sandwiches,. Although there are a few things in the freezer, like a small pizza that we can have for lunch instead of sandwiches and there is some UHT milk in the cupboard. So its not as bad as it seems.

Biggest of Mooloo has gone back to work today, and just text to tell me that they have offered her to go back to work full time, with a team leader job. She doesnt know what to do.
I have told her to way up the odds etc. (If it was me, I would want the job, but of course with her partner leaving her in May, then it could be more difficult with child care etc to deal with but of course thats not impossible.).
Perhaps we will all have a more settled life soon. We can always hope.
Time to have a cup of tea and a biscuit as I had only a banana for my breakfast and I am famished.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I have to say Mooloo, you have been more than generous with DS. He needs an official warning from you, that you WILL evict him if he does not improve his behaviour. I would also ensure that he does a spring clean to ensure that there is no smoke residue in the house. You do not want DGD subject to nicotine. Enough is enough, it is your home and you have done him a huge favour. If he can't follow the rules, he'll have to find somewhere else.
