I was in bed before Antiques roadshow had finished.!
Reasonable night. DGD ;had a bit of a bad dream around 3.30, but other then that she slept until about 7.15.
I am a bit stiff and sore today, from lifting her into the car/trolley etc yesterday.
She appears to be fine! thankgoodness.
She wants to go to school, and is back to her mischievious self. Raiding the cupboards for her drinks and snacks! mmm, must stop that some how.
I will need to collect her again at lunchtime. So my morning/sewing time has been halved today. Such is life.
Have done the odd bit of ironing, which I hate, but really want some of our more spring like clothes sorted out, and they all need a rub with the iron.
Time to do the school run. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Seem to be as dull as the day today!.
Neck is not too good this afternoon.
DGD has a bit of a sniffle now, but seems to be eating etc fine.
She was OK at Nursery. No concerns there anyway.
I have sent an email to the Adult services team asking for them to investigate twin1 again. I am worried about the state of the place. No matter what I do its always a tip the next day!.
We are due in court in the morning. Gosh its actually arrived. The time to get our situation rubberstamped!.
Lets just hope that there is nothing to hold it up any more.
All communications with BF have stopped. Seems strange, but for the best.
I will have to see about getting my son over to do the garden. its in need of some TLC.
This weeks rent has been paid, and that will keep me in credit(if the housing benefit is taken into account).
I managed about 30 minutes of sewing, putting some tape around the edges of a duvet cover/pillow case sample of Jessie from Toystory. Its for DGD's bedroom. If we can get it finished.
Must contact my son and get him over here! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thanks. This week will be another step forward for us. Things will change, as I will be on different funding. Also Mum has got to help at the weekends, and start to change her days with DGD. (bit more to suit me I think!), and so I can slot things in ready for September when she starts school.
I have also refused to drive them here and there, and they will hopefully get the idea soon.
Today my neighbours that are moving, gave me two pairs of lovely cream lined curtains. Full length ones. So I have had a change around this evening, and put them in my frontroom. Digging out some nets I had from the first Flat I had after the pub. Looks good. But strange after all the colour that I had up before. Those are now in the washing machine.
I also put the second pair up in my bedroom. Which I hope will help to filter out the light from across the road, with them being lined. Although it has meant I have had to forgo my "shabby chic" roses curtains. Oh well I can see how I like it and can always change it if I want too.:D
Just need a rod for the nets for the bedrooms now.
Have decided to reclaim some of the front canvas fabric from my canvas wardrobes, and use it to extend the sides of the cupcake fabric that I have for DGD's room. I had bought it for the cottage, and only have 2m of it. (and that cost me £76!!!)
I looked on line to see if I could get the same fabric. I can but its now around £45 a metre this year!! I dont think that I can justify that amount so I have decided to do some panels instead.
I finished the Jessie duvet set today so thats done. All I need then is for my son to come back and finish the painting for me.:o Perhaps I will have to do it myself if I want it done. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Good luck in court - don't agree to anythin you don't feel comfortable with especially if it involves money. Are SS paying you the Sg allowance?Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

They said that they would pay me for 2 years, and then I would have to be reviewed on a means tested basis after that. Pressume it would be called a SG allowance then. Will double check that with the solicitor etc today. As I will need to know exactly what its is for my benefits. Its important to know actually. Why did I forget to ask that?:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just found a leaflet on line about SGO and Special Guardianship Allowances, as well as it mentions that I could still claim benefits, except it says that I have to put this into my claim for housing benefit, etc so actually my calculations are all wrong! As I was under the impression that it was disregarded in the claim for Housing beneft. So I was under the impression that I would be getting full housing benefit, except now it seems I wont! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Mooloo,
Can you not add panels/sections of the rose curtains to the new ones? The you get the rose pattern you want and some left over to make things with i.e. cushion covers or a bed runner to match the curtains? It aint over til I've done singing....0 -
Hope it went well in court today, was thinking of you.0

I probably could, although actually had a better night sleep and didnt notice the light across the street coming on and off which usually wakes me. I shall leave the curtains up and see how I get on. Although they look nice full length, the radiators are under the windows so I will have to sacrifice some of the length to make the best of the heat. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
